So a sector artillery for enemy territory that isn't confined to one sector but all of it, with single barrages, randomly hitting in the enemy sectors?
Creative idea. But I do wonder though how useful it would be, if it is possible to have a artillery working on more sectors, and if it would be authentic. The Germans at least used short intense barrages on a rather small scale like the concentrated barrage and the drumfire.
I myself hope the French will get a defensive barrage, something like the sector artillery from PE or like the Wehrmacht registered artillery, but both with a twist that makes them WW1 authentic. The mustard gas for the Germans is a really awesome defensive artillery, but I still have to use it (haven't had the chance yet).
Shrapnel and incendiary rounds are also things I am hoping for, maybe combined with the defensive artillery. The K.u.K, the Austrian-Hungarians, will surely have some great artillery too.
Keep the suggestions ongoing. Feel free to join the forum, it could surely use some suggestion threads not made by me. There are quite some suggestions repeated on this page but ideas like yours could turn into something really creative for the mod!
Hey, the gas mask upgrade is not a first time suggestion, as are the MG08 and heavy artillery suggestion. The gas mask will not happen for historical reasons and programming reasons. If you keep a command unit alive they should not retreat. MG08 team would have been made, I am sure, if there was somebody to animate it properly. Morser 16 is too heavy for on-map artillery, we would need bigger scale for that which CoH doesn't have.
And the British were "famous" of shooting far with their MGs, hence they might, notice might, have longer range as Germans.
Hope this doesn't restrain you from doing more suggestions, however these suggestions have been requested before and were given reasons for not including them (exception more range for German MG strong-point).

British have better riflemen to deal with the German masses early game. If they are even better. They do get the command section which boosts offensive and defensive (command section 1 + infantry sections 1 to make it work), opposed to the Germans who get the platoon leader first who only boosts defensive, for the offensive boost you need the officer which you get later.
Or do you mean the shock troop command tree? It gives the British infantry sections faster veterancy. This tree will be further optimized (like a nerf).
A tip:
For the Germans, best way to start is 2 platoon leaders and use the landser call ins. You'll likely gain a foothold against the British fast.
British can deal better with few territory, Germans better with losses.

Not many people know about this conflict, I didn't even know about it that much. I learned a few things.
China really had to endure hardship. Saying so the mod doesn't go political which I like.
The beta crashes often when playing as Japanese.

Also I like how you decided to add the sappen panzer. I know historical accuracy is important.
If it is used too much for offensive, maybe add a penalty to them when fighting in neutral and enemy territory.

The mod is 1918. It was not about stalemate at all. In your defense this is myth common with many people.
The resource lines are there for a reason; gameplay reasons.

Sure. They are very true to your concepts, unless I got them wrong. One back you have the strongpoint. One forward is the scout command post, and two forward you'll have the platoon outpost.

That might be because of the MG bug, on some computers when the AI uses the Vickers MG the game crashes, see forum.
You don't have to activate, you only need to extract the mod into this folder:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch

And about the victory points, it's just my opinion. I think regular CoH is also best played with victory points.
The mod is best played with victory points, in my opinion, by the way. Then you don't have to destroy the base.
Also, all engineers (pioneers) have demolitions, and trench raiders have bangelore torpedo's and stormtroopers geballte ladung to destroy buildings. While the British do not have any docterine off-map artillery besides the bombing run their command sections can call in artillery.
If you would like to play multiplayer, join the Steam group of the mod.
The team wants to add France, you can read in the description. It will be the next faction worked on. You'll not only see the tiny Renault and the "first assault gun"* St. Chamond, but the Schneider Ca1 too! And the Renault FT will have several variants. I'm not going to tell you the variants, but you can search for it, or wait for the French updates.
It's going to take a while for the French though. I'm not a member of the team but I'm guessing they have done some work on the French already. Anyway, what I do know is that part of the team won't be available until summer, so in summer they will work (again) on the French.
*If I can call it that, it's never been classified as such. I believe at the end of the war it was deployed as some sort of assault gun against fortifications. In game I think it will also be a good tank destroyer.
Ah something I forgot to say is indeed who can build the most tanks.
Always disliked how some players would just build up to get panthers or ostwinds for example without proper infantry support. Most of these players would lose from me, though ostwind spam I found more difficult as I'm more of an infantry player and so would not build tank destroyers and shermans that often and when I would need them it would sometimes be too late.
The tanks indeed have more of a supporting role. Not to mention fuel upkeep and tank fuel cost is a large amount (a bit too much fuel upkeep, according to the balance team, I agree). And they cost a lot of population, which I like, also because the Mark IV,V tanks and Sturmpanzer had a large crew.
Only with the tank commander tree you really get to spam tanks, but as they cost a lot of population you get serious problems with capturing points. And of course like you said you can't rely on them without infantry.
Field guns will be a bit better though in the next patch which I support, and the Germans will get something extra to deal with Whippet rushes if I understood correctly.
To me this mod takes all the good bits of Company of Heroes, balances and designes it much better, makes it so you can't really spam any unit, not to forgot of course they made a total conversation and have done this perfectly.
