While I know I haven't worked on it in a while I don't think this mod will die. I will always come back to the idea and work on it and Source will be around for a long time so there is no big deadline. In those famous words it will be released When It's Done.

FYI I have been making TF2 maps lately so my mapping skills are improving.

This mod has been a huge learning experience for me. I've been teaching myself along the way how to do whatever needs to be done. Its taken a lot of time (when I have any extra) and study to get this far and I know it will take more, but I love doing it. I would map and mod all day long if I didn't have to pay for rent and food.

I guess what I'm saying is that - while the mod might go off the map every now and then - I have every bone in my body wanting to complete it and that will never change,.

I've been putting off an answer to these questions for a while to think about what you are actually asking. I think that there will be semi-real world events. I would not go as far as saying that we are trying to start something. We are trying to show things that could happen in the right/wrong circumstances, but more so we are trying to entertain.

The blood looks good. Even zombies will have blood/chunk splater when you shoot/cut/hit them. There is stuff in the way of the bullet/knife/object and it has to go some place.

You are right about the blood squirting out of limbs or where limbs were, That would not happen with zombies.
Of course this is just speculation unless anyone has ever killed or witnessed a zombie killing.

There is a reason people (including myself) like Valve games. They are good. They are not just mindless shooting or jumping puzzles or key pass searches. They include interesting story and make the characters have character.

Also I don't know how anyone could think Valve is just popping out games to ride the wave of HL1's or HL2's popularity. You must have forgotten that they took the time to make Source. If they had planned tojust make a lot of money they would have wrapped some crap in a shinny box and sold it. But they didn't, they made quality games that people enjoy playing.

I admit that some of their concepts never made their games. The Hydra in HL2 for example. That's what happens when games get displayed when still WIPs.

Archive them only have a check box to include them in the search or not. I agree with both ambershee and BigBird but, (and i feel very strongly about this but) any changes can still be made to the mod's profile. Example: The owner can change the mods status from "dead", at which point the mod will be moved off of the "dead" list and back to the "live" list. Maybe after a 1/2 year without any update mods are automaticaly placed there.

Also a dedicated physics card will allow the cpu to do much more for ai.

The only problem with ai is that it is not intelligent. It does the checks you told it to, then does the calculations you told it to, then it does the tasks you told it to for that calculations answer. If you don't tell it what to do it won't do it.
