For me, jk2 was the perfect mix of these 3. The saber combat was very tactical (in multi anyway), the puzzles ingame were entertaining but not not overly hard and there is a certain satisfaction to slicing up some stormtroopers.
I found hl2 far too light on the puzzles and there was very little tactics, just headshot headshot headshot & rocket rocket rocket (for the gunships), rinse and repeat for rest of game.

Throwing it all together would rock.

Tactical games are the most fun i think :)

I don't really care what is the ganre of game if the atmosphere is good. Usually in mindless zombie killing games atmosphere sucks... So I voted Adventure game. I want more games like fahrenheit!

If it's done well I'll play any of those, but at the moment there's a clear lack of Adventure mods (primarily because they're quite a lot of work from start to finish) so I voted for Adventure, but I'd settle for a long single player campaign.

I'd personally go for a three-in-one package (i.e. HalfLife) but I voted adventure because most mods lack puzzles.

I vote 'Adventure game - throw in tough puzzles' because...
A: 'Thinking tactical game's are ultra-realistic
B: 'Stuff thinking... give me something to shoot' games are unrealistic
C: I get bored fast and love challange

While I quite like Half-Life 2 the puzzles were bad, it wasn't tactical or thinking, even on highest difficulty, and it wasn't the mindless frag-fest of some of its competitors. Maybe it strived for them all, but it fell quite short, methinks.

I like a game with more open play (less linear). I like to have some choices in the approach that I take. Sometimes you need stealth, sometimes you need to be Rambo. The opening sections of Far Cry were a good example.

I enjoyed HL2's use of physics to solve problems, although some of the solutions were a little too obvious.

Half-Life 2 is the perfect mix of all 3 of these if you ask me. It has plenty of ruthless shooting, tough puzzles tossed in here and there, and can be a very tactical shooter when fighting the combine.

Hey, nobody said that the optin 'Stuff Thinking... give me something to shoot' was a mindless zombie killing game. It's awesome games like Half-Life 2 which redefine the new meaning of FPS gaming. That's the **** I'm talking about. And besides, using the source engine you can make other games, not just FPS shooters. So I went with the shooting option.

I want good action and good story, Like Fighting (3rd person) and shooting (3rd and or 1st person) and More Good story and music and action and plot twists with a sprinkle of good graphics, oh and ABOVE ALL.... Origianal gameplay!!! Come on modders if we wanted more lame fps's with new skins (because in a lot of these mods new skinks and models is the only difference) then we would buy FPS's made by EA games, we need more stuff like Pirates Vikings and Knights II and jedis, anythung without that lame arsenal of weponry, you know what I mean ( Pistols, Melee, Machine Gun, Rifles, and Sniper Rifles) something more fun like Stargate: The Last Stand, or EQ Gunkatas v3.0 or the Streetfighter mod for MP2 and Atharon: Armistes End, swords are always good you know something with ninjas would be really cool

All three are good together, but really sometimes i just like decapitating zombies with a 12 gauge.
