I think it depends on whether a single-cellular organism is more similar to an egg or a chicken. Although both are composed of cells.... AH! all female sexually reproducing animals produce eggs (it was never stated whether or not the egg is a chicken egg, and it was never stated whether or not the egg was laid), and the chicken is likely not the first sexually reproducing animal. Thus I should have voted the egg.

But i voted the egg bcause the egg=the chicken but with no chicken at all there isnt a egg so the chicken must have made himself and planted him with a egg but without 2 chickens you can't make eggs so there is a monsterthing that created the chicken or the egg (Yeah it is creepy) :P:D

Well I did extensive research on this. I went to many labs and scientists to find my answers left unanswered. So I went to a deli. The chicken came first then the egg salad.

and that mutated bird had become a chicken and was dropped on Earth by the apes/aliens and it layed tons of eggs and that's when all life started on this planet

i just had a chicken sandwich... =D yum that was so good, toasted bread and cheese, homemade to the max. The chicken was fajita meat too, yummmm... and then i had two egg and bacon sandwiches, homemade as well, i liked the chicken better so i'm gonna have to go with chicken. And raider, i accidentally voted for the egg, so that evens it out =D

The egg couldn't hatch without the chicken keeping it warm. Thus chicken was first.

Man, I was joking. I voted Chicken, but I was just pointing out that such a poll would be tantamount to asking how long a piece of sting is, and if one length was winning, it would be interesting.

Egg, the chicken evolved from some previous other creatures and they had eggs.
