This is awesome!
Would be pretty useful, like the Gravity Well Generator in vanilla HW2, which also means you guys probably wont need to change much, if anything at all, to implement it.
It could definitely make the Covenant player think more strategically if there were ships/stations which rip you out of slipspace unprepared when you come within a certain distance.
They can install Captain Keyes on cruisers now?
Thats because its the goddamn Pillar of Autumn! :D
Ok, thanks, I'll send him a message about it
Sooo... any chance I may be able to use a model or two? Its only for personal use, and maybe posting on here to show you guys if it looks any good :D
yes, I'll add other things to the scenes of course, some titles and particles, optical flares and such. the reason for my move from one AE to C4D is that i'm getting REALLY annoyed working with 2d based content, 3d is much more dynamic and has so many possibilities and angles
Hey guys, I was wondering, would I be able to get some of your new/old 3d models? weird question I know, but this relates to me being a little bit of a fanboy and doing up graphic effects and titles because I have a fair amount of spare time, and I figure what better way to do it than practice my graphic techniques on something I am really interested in, Halo Homefront. So to get to the point of this, I was using Adobe After Effects as my base program for my little fan project but my small business has recently taken a turn for the best and I have managed to purchase Cinema 4D Studio and the great thing about Cinema 4D is that it can read .3ds and some .max files :D so I was wondering if I can use some or one or all of your 3d models to create some quite hopefully awesome compositions.
Here endeth my wall of text :)
And thanks either way, loving the effort and creativity in this mod.
you have to admit though, launching ODST's directly onto an enemy ship sounds awesome. would be the last thing the covenant expects :D
fair point, I was thinking it might be like a intro for the HHF trailer, so it would be like; BLS presents...[insert cool effects and optical flares here]... Halo: Homefront. Anyways, glad to have your input, might do some more tonight and see what I come up with. Might make some seperate logo's, one for use with HHF and another for just whatever......hmmm you have me thinking now
Hey guys, thought I might throw a little something together for you, its only a very small snippet of the final product though :D
Ah I understand, well maybe you could look into some royalty free stuff or soundtracks from the same genre as halo that would be fitting for an RTS that dont have stupid usage rights and whatnot.
what about the BSGFC mod? they used the full BSG soundtrack from the entire series.
hahaha so funny if it turned out that Section III went and mysteriously managed to install it on every ship in the fleet over one night.
I seem to remember reading in one of the books that the UNSC acquired some covie equipment or something and mimicked the artificial gravity like they did with Jackal shields for MJOLNIR armor. Only a vague memory though not too sure, correct me if I am wrong :D
this is cool, but make sure its not like the the BSGFC mod for homeworld 2, because the vipers were so goddamn small compared to the capital ships you cant see them in battle which can be a pain.
Otherwise keep it up Zero! :D
Pick me too? i think i'm pretty dedicated considering this is my homepage in chrome :D
OMG :D I cant wait for another release so I can stare at this in full zoom for hours on end!
Hey I was curious about something,
Some other HW2 mods have a forum section for general discussion and bug reporting etc. and was wondering why you guys dont have one set up on this mods page?
Anyways, just curious, keep up the good work and I am very much looking forward to the next set of textures and new ship models :D *hint-hint*
Well keep up the work guys! it's looking great so far, and I wont complain as long as I can play with UNSC ships :D
Really nice work, my only criticism would be the emblem on the tail looks out of place or slightly large... otherwise I love it and hope that it's in the next release :)
Happy New Year to all of you guys! keep up the good work :D
