Whats the latest update to this?
Still crashed. I used to own Gold Edition before losing it and getting the vanilla retail version. Perhaps some minor differences there caused the crash. So I uninstalled medieval 2 and deleted all data I could find on it before attempting to reinstall it
Sorry, meant more as a release date :p
What's the update on that release, btw? =J
Hmm, these comments are from the earlier half of this year. I suppose there's no harm in asking how the modding is going
Tried it, quite often actually. Must be the mirror, then. If I try downloading the first option it just gives me a file that I can't just click on or extract for some reason
So I downloaded it but it crashes on the opening loading screen before it even reaches the main menu
Hey, you and I have the same problem with Third Age Total War as you. Have you found a solution in any forum?
I see, so I'm not the only one
The original release versions, you know, the ones that included multiple discs for installation.
Anyway, I have version 1.5 but it still won't launch
Can anyone help? I used to have the Medieval 2 gold edition with the expansion but I have lost the discs, so I had to replace them with older versions, I had to re-install the mod because of this and now every time it starts up, it shows me the title screen but it just crashes, sending me back to the desktop. Can anyone help? Feel free to PM me if the explanation is too lengthly
The PC is Windows 8
Cool mod. Noticed a few visual glitches, whenever a hero is healing or there are sources of lights from lamps and torches, there are pink squares surrounding them. Some orc pikemen from the Mordor faction were also undetailed and pink.
Otherwise, I'm really liking the mod. When's the Gundabad faction coming? :)
Downloaded the mod, and the patch, but when I try to start up the game it crashes on the first loading screen
Just drag and drop?
there's no install version of 1.05 then? Where can I find the game's install folder?
I should be more clear. I have the patch 1.06 installer, but patch 1.03 has no installer
So once I download the patches, then what? Do I move them to the game's folders?
clicked on "check for update", there are no further updates available, nothing on the game's folders belongs to a mod, unless there are other ways to check for any mods conflicting with this one I am unaware of (the later being a very likely scenario)
downloaded the 0.75 installer. Every time I try to launch, the game crashes stating that it has an invalid sound: 'MorgulDenSelect'
Would appreciate any help
I don't think they've ever said something along the lines of "its not like the book so its bad". More like, they adapt the lore from the book first and the lore from the movies second. So, Bolg in the film is nothing like Bolg in the book. So they made the decision of making Bolg like the one from the book
So I downloaded the mod, but when I click on it, the option that appears is "search app store". Its not just this mod, it seems all mods with an installer seems to be having this problem with me.
Ok, I think I did every step. Moved the BOTTA file where it said Windos (C): then I made a desktop shortcut, added the bit that says C:\BOTTA_2.0.rar from the target and applied it to the target in the game's shortcut. But it still just boots up the vanilla game
Oh, yeah, that's right
Perhaps as a compromise for those who want Movie Bolg's design, you should have him as an early game hero known as "The Hunter". He can specialize in detecting invisible units and killing heroes
This is embarrassing but... what exactly is the C drive?
How do I install this in Windows 8?
How do I instal the mod?
Undoubtedly, but that just seems like the natural progression when adding Middle-earth based factions
cool, do you have any idea on the other factions you'd add? Obviously Dwarves, Elves, and Rhun would be included, yes?
