Divide and Conquer Version 3. Please read the installation instructions or watch the installation video.
- You need a fresh (no mods present) Third Age Total War 3.2.
1) Download the file - Do not do anything else on your computer whilst you download
3) Unzip the file to any location.
4) Run the executable.
5) If you have not moved your steam directory from the C drive and your TATW folder is called 'Third_Age_3' then click next otherwise go to 5.1.
5.1) If your steam directory is not on your C drive or you installed TATW over an existing Kingdoms expansion folder then you need to manually locate your Med 2 install location and click on the 'mods' folder:
[DRIVE]/steam/steamapps/common/Medieval II Total War/mods
If you (foolishly) installed TATW over a Kingdoms expansion then you need to rename the end of the install path to match your folder:
[DRIVE]/steam/steamapps/common/Medieval II Total War/mods/[FOLDER NAME]
5) You must run Large Address Aware on the Medieval2.exe when prompted. Follow the instructions that appear on screen.
6) You will need to delete your VirtualStore entry as detailed here or in this video.

I have noticed that it won't work with winzip, but it does work with 7-zip so yay and good job.
its not unzipping for me with 7zip
At first 7-zip was working, but then it just stopped and now no matter what I use it doesn't work.
I don't know what else it could be as I have unzipped it with Winrar and that worked for me while others unzipped it with 7zip and it worked for them.
I would suggest you uninstall Winrar and 7zip, restart your computer, and then install either Winrar or 7zip and then try extracting again.
I have tried this, didn't work
Winrar says it is a corupted file
And 7- zip is just not uziping
Then I would recommend downloading DaC V3 again. It's possible the download was corrupted while it was downloading.
Microsoft Edge/Internet explorer are corrupting the files. Switch browsers to help negate the issue and extract the files normally. Hope the advice helps.
Turns out it wasn't working bc I was using internet explorer so try using chrome if it doesn't work still.

You need Third Age 3.0 + the 3.2 patch (I think the 3.2 patch includes TA 3.1 but if it doesn't, then get 3.1).
Basically, you need the latest Third Age version.

Download and install Third Age 3.2.
Then, download and install DaC V3.
Then, you are done. DaC V3 is a standalone version.

Elitedwarf, I installed the old one and I played Gondor a few turns with no CTD. Does the new upload fix anything besides install and start issues? Thanks a lot for all the hard work:)
The re-upload of the V3 file here on ModDB fixes the install for disc users and fixes the Witch King of Angmar being a silver surfer.
