If I can purchase a digital drawing pad such as a wacom, I will very likely finnish this project. As far as I know there is no such way to add new bots to avp, I can change the chracter models but their bounding box will remain the same, making face huggers almost impossible to add to the game in skirmish mode. how ever what I can add is a left for dead type experience where you play coop with friends and if you die you respawn in a alien hive and will have to be rescued by friends, I can also add traps and hazards, puzzles and secret areas, and mini games such as a aliens arcade type experience( like a hidden level, you must find). I stopped work on the project mostly because there didnt seem to be a big enough demand for this mod, due to the aliens universe constantly being changed by prometheus. How ever AvP is still a great game engine, supporting high res textures and high poly models and enviroments, also being one of the fastest game engines still to this day. I do hope to start work again.

actually the Aliens midboot(replacing Alien 3)was canceled and now a new project from Blomkhomp has started taking place between Alien and Aliens

btw, source is actually quake 2 engine, that is why the geomtry always sucks. and probly why thier grid was always bugged. like ever wonder why its so hard to make a archway with more than a few polies, with out the geomtry deforming horribly. thats why most source maps are square, except models.
hey Kevin, if people want your mod, that means its not dead. you should switch to a game engine and turn it into a actuall game. Source sucks, I helped to make Deathwing for left for dead 2, and source was horrible we ran into the exact same problems, every update mod completely broken. On source you have to perpetually update your mods indefinately its rediculus. the engine has looked like crap since it came out any way most of the success of source if counter strike and half life, which where propelled to success by game play value not grafics, ( as these two games never had outstanding graphics, even for the time they where released) there is so much love for those two games, and garrys mod that people will always say, oh source is awesome. but dont be fooled source sucks, the level editors have always sucked real bad. hope the best for you and your mod though
dont take it personaly, they are just trying to make them selves feel better, they have no self esteem or self worth. they feed off of making other people suffer its the only sense of accomplishment they have. besides you will go on to better things in life, the trolls will not. they are pitifull. so take heart you are a good person, and that alone is far more than any troll will have

idont want this mod to be dead, there is still enough mats to make 2 more maps, but ryan is working on so much other stuff and i think not being albe to make a proper flammer in lfd2 really killed it
Hey Chainsaw, I am sorry I havent made any progress as my current graphics card does not support integ world editor for this game, but I did recently purchase a new pc. So Im going to try again. I think I might play thru Alien Isolation first, maybe to get some influence from that. I have been playing Space Engineers designing a Aliens inspired ship called the Chubby Honey.

works fine for me, you guys have to extract the map directly to your map folder. also awesome map as simple as it is very good reminds me of avp two but much more aliens feel I love it, very good movie experience
educate your self bro there are plenty of fun tutorials. I suggest finding a game you like with a easy level editor and then make your own map

dude there is a legit free version of quake some where also you can play quake 3 for free as well via quake live. I don't think its wrong to sell a 18 year old game, just dont charge more than 5 bucks.
