So complaining because we've been waiting a year and a half for an update to a game we've paid for is now us being 'entitled?'

That's rich. I'll just quote Forbes on the matter.

"The verdict is in, folks, and it’s the same as it was last year: calling upset gamers ‘entitled’ is still a lazy substitute for an argument."

It's said in a slightly different context, but it fits this context as well.

It's like a 3D version of Dwarf Fortress or Dungeon Keeper, just severely dumbed down.

Does anyone think we can request a refund? I think it's pretty clear what's happening here. This game has more or less been abandoned. If it ever gets finished, it will be over a period of 20 years.

No offence, linkhero, but normally I would agree with what you're saying, just not in this case. This game has been in alpha funding for more than a year and it is still not even in a playable, stable condition. These guys really should have had more to show for their time by now.

Yes, their game has been in pre-alpha since middle 2011. At this rate, we'll reach v1.0 in ten years. :)

A company which has been delaying an update for a year and a half is delaying it even further. Big surprise.

They've been working on a single update for a year and a half now. How long do you think it's going to take them to finish the entire game?

I know the next update is apparently really big and adds a lot to the the game, but I mean, come on. We're going on two years and the game is still *technically* pre-alpha.

More than a year since the last full update now. Also, almost a year since their laptops got stolen. How long is this update still going to take?

I'm just so tired of waiting by now. Playing the test builds isn't fun because they've got major issues all over the place. :(

Every time just as we think an official update is imminent, some new issue pops up all over again.

This game is absolutely screaming for an Android port. Any plans on bringing it to the mobile arena when it's finished? I will even buy it a second time just to have it on my Android tablet.

Oh, also, thanks for introducing me to the wonderful world of X-com. I never played the original game, but I played this remake and it is absolutely one of the best games I've ever played. Really glad I played this before X-com: Enemy Unknown or else I would never have known just how much better the original X-com is. Don't think I'm even going to bother buying the new X-com, I'll just play Xenonauts.

Hey, I'm not the one representing my modding group by being rude to my fans on the official mod page. I'm well within my rights to take the 'moral high ground', otherwise known as common courtesy amongst us lesser mortals.

So you insult his language? He probably posted here, not knowing any other language, in the hopes that someone who DOES know his language can answer his question.

And then you were a complete douchebag to him. Wow, nice way to greet your mod's supporters. Insulting and being rude to them on your group's page. NMRIH, I'd suggest you get someone else to represent you on this page, because the way its going now, SotaPoika is creating a bad impression of your entire group.

If you don't know how to handle yourself in public, stay out of public. PR tip number one. That goes for people who are part of groups creating free mods as well.

Even if you're making a free mod, a certain degree of professionalism is required. The devs on this mod obviously lack that quality, judging by the weak image they put forward with their responses to comments on this page.

Protip: If someone is leaving a positive comment, and you respond like douchebag, then you might want to get someone else to respond to comments on your mod. Also, if you want to discriminate based on language, don't post your mods to an internationally available modding site.

POTENTIAL BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!

Right now it seems to be entirely dead. The devs don't respond, and even when they did, they only updated trivial junk that didn't really alter the game all that much. More than a year later, it's still basically the same game it was when it released.

Do not waste your money. Why this game is even still on Desura, nobody knows.

So, what? We should lather the praise on them for their game concept? We can't praise them for the game, because it's still pretty much the exact same thing it was a year back. The devs have clearly abandoned this and didn't even have the decency to tell us.

I'm mailing Desura to hear what they have to say about this, because it's pathetic that these devs continue making money from this when it's clearly going nowhere.
