I played this mod yesterday... it's pretty fun, but I had one main gripe, and its about how the actions shoot and pass are on the same key. Too many times did I pass on accident when I was trying to shoot. The passing lock-on also made passing very unintuitive and cumbersome and made me start to favor ball-hogging. I think making plays would be a lot smoother if you dedicated one key to shoot, and another key to pass to the nearest player in view (maybe within an area on the screen). Smoother passing would encourage better teamplay.
At least you don't go deaf, which is what would happen in real life. Ever seen the movie Black Hawk Down? One of the operators shot a MG right by his teammates head and the guy lost all hearing.
Despite the low number of servers in my area, I've started to become addicted to this mod. Great game!
Any chance this mod will be upgraded to the orange box?
I agree with red-frog about animation speeds. My grandma could probably draw a gun faster than the characters in the game. (The peacemaker speed is okay but the 1851 is wayyy slow.)
Also, what's with the super-poor fanning? I've seen a video on youtube of a guy drawing and then shooting 5 balloons in under a second with a single-action revolver. It's actually a pretty entertaining vid, you should watch it too. =) Youtube.com
More specific gripes:
Something with the crouching and jumping make crouch-jumping impossible. In the air, crouching is not allowed. In the act of crouching, jumping is not allowed. I understand this is probably to make the guys less mobile, but I think the stamina bar already does that well enough.
A minor annoyance: after shooting the Henry, iron sight mode can not be exited until after the lever is cocked. The only way out of it is to switch weapons. I noticed that upon switching back the lever has to be cocked anyway. (Which is awesome, btw.) So it shouldn't be too tough to implement a way exit iron sight right away... right?

I just beat this today. I had my doubts when I read that it was based on the flash version of portal, but boy was I impressed. The level design was really well thought out. Highly recommended!
Well, I just gave it a quick look around in my own private server and it looks like it'd be pretty fun.
The new weapons are pretty cool and sound great. But a lot of the perspectives are messed up and they look like they're being aimed to the far left of the screen. I get a tiny headache when trying to aim em. But I can tell you guys put a lot of effort into the mod so good job! Keep it up!
This mod was the rage back in the day. After a long while with no updates people seem to have lost interest. There's a bit of a learning curve but it can get very fun, so I really hope it regains its popularity with 1.2!
This patch won't butcher my saved games right?
Oh well, I already got past the first few chapters and I also don't mind the bleeding at all. I almost never use bandages anyway. I do get the occasional glitch where the blood on the screen never goes away though.
P.S. - What incentive is there to heal the chest+torso if bleeding was removed? Don't disable it peeps!
Hey Tats, I don't know if you ever saw my comment way back from March. Anyway I was saying that it would be awesome if instead of just having a key for "cycleammotype", we can have another key that cycle's to the previous ammo (i.e. moves UP the ammo menu). That way people can bind mwheelup and mwheeldown to sift through the ammo types, and then press mouse3 to drop. (That's what I would want to do ideally.) That would make ammo sharing so much more intuitive & easy. And we all know sharing is caring... =)
Great mod! I have a suggestion though. Can you make a key to cycle backward through the ammo types? I'd like to bind mwheelup and mwheeldown to select the ammo, and mouse3 to dropammo. It just feels more intuitive for me that way.
