Mate, the mod hasn't had a proper update in almost half a decade, and the last lot of content we got was a couple of (admittedly, really cool) pictures almost a year ago.

Listen, I was urging folk to be patient three or four years ago. I reminded people that this mod was not dead and that Docm30 was not working on this full time, and that it would be ready when it's ready. Believe me, I've been in your shoes.

The thing is, we're far beyond telling people to be patient at this point. By the time you hit five years since the last update, the mod is - by any reasonable metric - dead. People are more than a bit exasperated at this point, and telling them to be patient is like ******* into the wind.

Really fun mod. Reminds me of the Warlord Chronicles Trilogy by Bernard Cornwell, have you read them at all?

Go to your faction's main city (for the UK, it's London for example) and look for a man standing next to an artillery piece. He's a recruiter, and in order to "join" a faction in L'Aigle, you have to speak to him. It should be mentioned that joining a faction is very different from vanilla Warband, as you don't receive a fief. You have to earn renown which will then allow you to field more men, as well as to gain ranks within your respective country's military. To do this, you need to go to the country's military depot, where you'll find a man you can request a promotion from (if you've reached the prerequisite amount of renown) as well as to turn in enemy banners (which net you further renown) and to buy equipment.

Is it possible for you to add Mercia as a playable faction?

Why do people still ask this question?

Docm30 has said that the mod is still being worked on, and has explained why it hasn't received regular updates.

I've found that going to the guild master in cities to get quests is a good way to get money relatively easily. Some of them are quite boring, such as delivering goods and escorting caravans, but there are quests to rescue merchants' daughters which are quite fun. The fact that you don't pay troop wages means that you can rack up a decent amount of money quite quickly.

It ejects you from the village in order for you to manually save. The same thing happens when you encounter a lord; one of the options is "Give me time to save". All it does is take you back to the overworld where you can either run away or manually save.

Go to the tavern and sell them, as you do in vanilla Warband. The ransom brokers aren't in every tavern, but every faction has at least one ransom broker present in one of the cities at any one time.

If you capture a lord, you have to wait until the faction that he belongs to gives you an offer to release him for an amount of gold. You can't miss it; it's a pop-up like any other event in-game.

Yep? It's one guy doing most of the work, man, and besides, I very much doubt that he spends all day working on the mod, so it's no wonder that there hasn't been an update for a while. Just be patient, mate. The game's in a playable state as it is anyway.

No one knows! It is still in development, as the description says. If you read the other comments then you'll see that updates usually take their time to be released. Rest assured, Docm30 might take his time but the work is usually worth it. Be patient, mate.

I'll try to not get my hopes up, but I'm so damn excited for this mod, man! Can't wait for it to be finished.

This seems to happen with a lot of mods, to be honest. L'Aigle for example almost always has people asking if it's still being updated, even though it says in one of the first lines of the description that it is.

I don't understand why people don't just spend a few minutes looking for the answer themselves.

I also love seeing "Village X has been raided by Bishop Hugh Mungus" every once in a while.

Just in case you haven't see it, there is a low performance build in the files section, the regular mod is quite demanding.

As long as he isn't ripping textures, assets, and music straight from an Elder Scrolls game, then he should be fine.

Yes, read the description. It quite literally says in the fourth line that it is still being updated.

No. Docm30 takes his time with new updates, but it is still currently active, as it says in the description, had you read it.

Oh, right. I didn't realise that the requirement had been raised. I had been going off of a post from the Taleworlds forum. In fact I think it was yours.

Thanks man. And can I ask what the new renown requirements are for each rank?

Hey, I'm having a problem with being promoted to Lieutenant. My character has 200 renown, but when I go to my faction's respective liason officer, he still says that I haven't shown myself worthy of a promotion.

Also, my renown doesn't seem to increase from 200 when I defeat armies and do guild quests. Indeed, it actually decreases after a while.

Hi guys,

I'd like to start off by congratulating you on the excellent features in this mod. MC is certainly my favourite mod for Warband there is, so thank you!

I'd like to let you know of a couple of bugs that I've run into during my playthrough:

1) Your character's name will always reset to just "Count" or "Duke" when you've been granted those titles. Whereas it doesn't affect the gameplay, it is really annoying and I hope that you'll be able to find a fix for it.

2) The treasury system is broken, it seems. I might have made 14000 denars in a week, only to find that a week later, that amount has reset itself. It doesn't really affect the game too much due to the fact that the player has money on them regardless of what is in the treasury, but it would be nice to see this fixed.

3) Household inventories. The fact that items that you deposit into your household inventory disappear after a while mean that holding feasts is next to impossible as you are unable to gather enough resources. It also means that you are unable to store unwanted items without losing them.

4) While defending the castle of Castellciutat in northern Spain, the enemy AI was unable to move up the siege tower, meaning that with my lance, I was able to stab at the enemy that had pooled around the base of the siege tower. We had 100 men and they had 450. We took no losses.
Obviously, this is something that might need a look at. I imagine that this might affect other castles as well.

5) A minor one, but sometimes when interacting with friendly generals, their opening dialogue is "Halt! Enemy! Charge!"

Could I also suggest that you add a feature for disabling the random weather encounters? I personally think that it is unfair that more than half of your army can be wiped out in an instant without there being anything that you can do about it. I understand that having a high pathfinding skill can help mitigate this, but I still think that there should be an option to turn it off.

That's all I suppose. Thanks so much for working on this mod and I look forward to the next update!
