Being minimal for the sake of being minimal is a bad idea. If it's an essential part of the HUD, then you should probably include it.

The explosion is pretty, but after a big blast like that I'm sure the building behind the scaffolds would be somewhat damaged. A big gaping hole where the Strider laser thing (I've forgotten what it's called) hit the wall would be sexy.

Those brushes look like they're off the grid. Try not to follow the arch lines when clipping that brush, but instead use straight lines to clip from the arch vertex.

How are you applying the nohook parameter to the texture? :)

Windows 7 is a fantastic OS, really liking it. I also hate Macs with a passion.

It's a model with a reference picture as the texture.

It's the Desert Eagle from Counter-Strike. We're using the newest SDK which has them as stock weapons (we're not using a deagle).

All blocks spawn in front of the player, with a time limit on spawning based on block type. Project Haven is going to be radically different from SourceForts as you know it.

Building will be streamlined, and more fast paced. We've considered some prebuilt stuff but I'm not sure it fits the gameplay, one of the key components of SourceForts was always the various unique forts that could be created and we'd like to keep that.
