i would have actually made the rohan spell the offensive one for several reasons. first the dead army only came to gondors aid when it was in its greatest need and werent really there to help clear morder and the flip of that was rohan helped aragon in the last battle.
i would make rohan the instant summon as lets be honest would gondor really be allowed to wait and decide when the rohan army is full enough.
i would then suggest the AotD be directly related to gondors building and base, i have a few suggestions on how to do this but dont really know balance/usefulness:
1:when u summon AotD, for any damaged building 1 unit of them is summoned(or could be an extra unit idk) this makes the summon directly stronger when ur base is under attack
2:have the AotD able to passively repair near by buildings making it stronger in a base attack
3: not sure about this one but you could have a unit summon at each external building, a lot more micro but if u make them longer life could be manageable, this could also use the first suggestion where 1 or 2 units is summoned at any damaged building
i think the building correlation is better bc it can be used with other spells in the defensive chain like the tower would make it stronger, u might wait with the building heal until your AotD has recharged which adds risk/tactics. i know how the edain team loves synergy and differing tactics ;)
so no defensive shield for gondor AI?
all the new siege looks really cool, i know its not a top concern but will AI be able to use it all effectively?
hey not because of this mod but i have windows 8.1 and it updated a couple days ago and now the game crashes every time i start it up not saying anything, tried reinsttalling it all and crashes even just with the original game. just wondered if anyone had the same problems :/
ever thought of doing a submod or a standalone mod of GoT at current events E.G cerci queen vs dorne which could have dany, freys capturing the riverlands, jonsnows supporting houses vs boltons, reach vs the iron islands and westerlands. i know itd be a hell of a lot of work but i feel there are quite a number of smaller wars and houses which would be good for mid game conquests because right now its almost impossible to take over a faction like the north or the riverlands but as they are devided into a couple fractions now itd be easier to match them
left my CD at my uni accommodation and not going back until the end of this month annd i just cant wait that long to play the new faction! is there any chance the game works with the no-cd patch?
if you have made empty islands that you can build on, how can you land on them without first building a port, and if u can land anywhere to build villages first whats the point of the ports?
yeah i didnt really know how to express it but it all seems a bit too uniform and regal for my liking. they shouldnt make them as rugged and miss matched as the ered luin dwarves but maybe have a bit more variation in the armour and dull it down
okay i really like the models of the new Veterans but i feel its not right for them specifically, i always pictured moria as dark like in the films and dont think gold really suits the troops as moria was renowned for mithril not gold and even then would there just be kingly armour like that lying around unstolen. i personally liked the last models better as it looked like they just acquired pieces on the way and lets be honest would dwarves that want to risk their lives for fortune really be rich enough to dress in that and even then the armour remains untarnished through all the battling.... as im writing this i think i might be thinking about it way too much as they are beautiful units but just doesnt seem right to me
yeah pretty sure ive had this on some settlements in dolguldur, the 2 nearest the main gatee face the wall and if you build troll cages or great siege works there they are deployed but phase through the wall and are stuck in the small spaces between the 2 layers of wall
why can i not build many buildings in settlements? i remember hearing that you cant upgrade them because it wouldnt make sense but i find it boring only gaining more money from conquest and more troops the only way to spend it
no sorry i meant blue
the summon galadrhims for rohan are gold think its just to distinguish between the 2 maybe
units, but not heroes, heroes are more diverse and their uses are more unique. its like saying isengard doesnt need their scout hero (bill ferny?) bc they start with scouts that can be upgraded to be more important in the later game
wait so iron hills dont have a scout or outpost support hero?! isnt its roster looking a bit thin now? :/
omfg im sorry ill stop but cann u make nazguls like friends with souron or something cause its stupid when the witch king or khamul start to rebel against souron causing a civil war. just make a trait like slave to sourons will where they have +100 relations to him and maybe some other things like -100 relations to any other liege that isnt him or doesnt have the one ring
okay i swear last suggestion...today :p maybe like i said before eridor was a mixing pot of cultures so you could have provinces "lightly populated" with more than one race like bree and the lands around it had a few dwarves hobbits and dunedain so if lets say if a dwarf attacks bree the lands would be purged of the other races but it wouldnt turn to wilderness the buildings would convert to their dwarven equivalent and maybe some destroyed, itd make expansion into eridor a little easier. also elves around the forests of the shire, im pretty sure frodo and sam meet wood elves at the start of their journey in the book
sorry if this is the wrong place to spam suggestions, but ive been playing a lot recently and i feel the relations between the good guys or the bad guys is a bit broken. maybe make it so you could give land to another kingdom (bc what dwarf wants flat land), create a defensive pact that doesnt need marriage(elves for example could request money off the dwarves for it sorta like the hobbit movie, or like gondor and rohan) , like i said earlier be able to join any ones wars on ur side (like lorien joined rohans in the film). and lastly maybe make the relations for inviting to court based on which side aswell bc if ur a different race theres no chance they would come but that doesnt make sense seeing as saruman needs orks, and how in eridor there was meant to be a whole mix of races and people. basically decisions should be based on relations not race to an extent obviously
and maybe make ai factor in combat modifiers when they want to attack ect. think it takes away from the game when mordor goes into a battle with barely more orcs against elves and get slaughtered. they should gather like ten times the number first!
got a question/suggestion, can u maybe add an option to help any faction that are the same side as you (guardian of middle earth/corrupted by darkness )in defensive wars because like as erebor dale one time didnt ask for aid and i couldnt help them and they got taken over, then when men led a revolt i couldnt help either so i declared war on rhun (the faction now owning dale) to try to destroy some of their forces but then the people in the revolt were hostile and attacked my armies wipping them out! oh and elves r way too op attacked galadriel (25 martial, 20,000 evles) with dain (35 martial, 50,000 dwarves) and got slaughtered, i mean there should be a difference but i dont think it should be tht much between elves and dwarves
okay they could be temporary but still only on the wall but make the time longer so u get the whole 'helms deep' effect
hey got some ideas to try to make walls more relevant (idk if people use them cause im not a big mp guy but i dnt anyway)
gondor: u could give beregond(think thts it) an ability called 'aim for the trolls!' (think its gandalf who says it in the film but makes more sense cause he is defensive) which could temporarily or permanently depending on balance allow archers to deal high damage to siege weapons and possibly longer range
rohan: the summon ability where u get elves could be permanent but u have to do it on a wall and they are stationary but u can switch between there weapons, this also gives rohan good archers but only for defense like in the film.
dwarves: the raven towers (dont know if they already do cause i dont use them) should increase attack range and power so tht the standard fire archer could take out catapults and such BUT then u could also make it that the enemy if on the wall could use them too.
thought they were good ideas idk
Just wondering what the map icons like barrows and orchards do or will do in the future or are they just for show?
says game not found... wat is actualyy going on
hey have windows 8.1 and the installer doesnt install all the files into my rise of the witchking folder but just on my computers main harddrive like where my program files and windows files are stored and when i move them all over into the game folder, the game crashes after around 5 minutes, and theres no uninstall program so idk what to do, cant get rid of it :/
didnt u say azog had the warg ambush ability in 4.0, so is it exactly the same or does he not have a different ability?
fs none of the text shows up :'(
mmm my answers were an anchor and a wheel barrel but i guess a boomerang is sorta right
ooh is the 3rd from the bottom a castle
i can only get the first 1; s river :/
What do you throw out when you want to use it, but take in when you don't want to use it
I have two arms, but fingers none. I have two feet, but cannot run. I carry well, but I have found I carry best with my feet off the ground
