OpenRA has quite different game mechanics. As I said before, it might be more similar to starcraft than c&c95 if we consider the game mechanics. I guess, the Dune mod in OpenRA is the most similar to the original Dune2000 (comparing with the similarity between the OpenRA c&c games, and the original c&c games).
I dont say that OperRA is out of my interests, but it is not an excitement compared to the original c&c games. However, I like the linux support in it.
I used this tac in the last gdi mission with the first gun turret.
In this mission, AI doesnt have advanced guard towers in the beginning, but he will build it after a while.
As you can see on this map, the AI has some agts:

Btw it would be interesting to have naval units in StarCraft 2. At least in singleplayer.

Sorry to dissapoint you but almost no chance for that. This game is came out in 2001. The staff stopped to support it in 2008-2009.
But if some other group want to do the job and they are good at StarCraft modding, I will help to translate. Btw, I just created this page, and made an english walktrough (with a lot of grammar mistakes, yes I know), but I wasn't in the staff.

So the main things can be found in the text walktrough, which are important to understand what's going on in the missions. If somebody start a youtube walktrough, and he needs more translation, I just give him. But I don't want to translate all the speech of the game if nobody want to do youtube videos.

The graphics has the old cnc taste, I hope the music will also has that flavour.
