So the reason you don't want other people to enjoy TE in KW is because you can't. It's all become clear now!

system wise it is much better, since GC doesn't even exist in TW.You might not like playing Global Conquest, but there are those of us that do - and no, you can't use a dice to just select random maps as you've previously suggested - Global Conquest has multiple economies (global and map), and different starting forces, too.

No thanks :-) I think you've made it clear that you're not bothered about Tiberium Essence moving into Kane's Wrath but perhaps the problem is you don't understand (1) Some people want to play the game in a way that you do not and (2) It's actually not just units that Tiberium Essence changes. Take the music, as one example.

What maps it uses is actually completely irrelevant. I can't believe you're telling someone to use a dice for a modern computer game LOL. I think that's a clear indication that you just don't understand.

The point would be as you said it - Global Conquest. Why not use the latest 'version' of the game? It's kind of boring to just pick a map and do a skirmish, global conquest is much more fun

Same as Commando_Bob2016, I seem to have a strange bug where my fully upgraded bases show 5 refineries. But if I play out a battle instead of auto-resolve, my base always starts with 3 refineries. Unless I manage to build to 5 refineries before the end of the battle, my base will show as damaged, even if I lost no buildings, and it will show as 3/5 refineries.

Oh, except if I do build 2 x refineries before the end of the battle, my base stays repaired. If I don't build anything, but also don't lose any buildings, I've still only had 3 regineries throughout the battle and so when I return to the global part, my base comes up damaged with 3/5 refineries.

YES! I have searched online and you're the first other person I can see talking about this issue. I'm wondering, is it this mod that caused it? surely it's not happening in vanilla game and no one is complaining about it or noticing it?!...

All the youtube videos I can find are people playing as Republic...do many people play as the seperatists?

I'm trying to find out about the supply ship. It's more expensive than the carrier but doesn't actually carry many fighter squadrons (including a low reserve). It doesn't have any turbo lasers....what's it's purpose? How do you effectively use it's ability in game? (Repairing fighter squadrons, which die in seconds, seems like a waste of micromanagement time). Does the AI use these ships and their abilities properly?

So far, I can't really find much info about it and it just seems like a money pit to buy one since they die so easily.

Isn't that a bit of a poor response about the supply ships? I mean, their ability seems confusing and the fact that they cost so much yet have very few fighter squadrons (including reserves), still leaves me confused about their purpose. Or perhaps you still want to keep it a secret? lol. I thought they were supposed to be carriers, but their fighter compliment being so small (yet being more expensive than a carrier) rules that out. Does the AI even use it's ability correctly?

ok thanks! Not sure if you've noticed but it also affects death - if the slowdown effect is occuring, metrocops die in slow motion!

I'm not seeing this problem in SMOD, which also has slow motion. Infact, I would love to see the SMOD slow motion ported into Substance, as it's really really cool!! (Bullets travel in slow motion and everything, whereas in Substance slow mo, bullets seem to be instant)

Otherwise, it's a shame to see a problem that cannot be fixed :-(

Just to correct myself, it's just in the first part before you get the suit that you can't use the right mouse button to zoom. My bad! (This is even if you use impulse 101 to get all the guns and apparently, the suit), zoom is disabled at this time, but is enabled afterwards.

I wonder what the ETA is on a fix for the automatic slow-mo?

I've been looking over the known issues. I'm getting the slowing down by myself a lot, I think it's particularly when I kill someone in recon mode, but I can't be sure.

Also, it does seem to be much more buggy than the original Substance that I always loved.

For one, I can't use the right mouse button to zoom when using weapons like the sniper rifle. My suit zoom is gone, too! I've checked the keybinding and it's there.

For two, if you put the bug bait into spawner mode whilst in Gordon freemon mode, you can't throw the bug bait in recon mode at all or squeeze it.

These are just the bugs i've found in 5 minutes playing in the first level.

I really miss the old Substance (Substance Gold?), I hope this manages to be just like that!!

It looks very clever, but i think the name EVA is a coincidence, as it sounds nothing like the real EVA. Therefore there probably isn't going to be a cabaal version lol

Not even sure if the mod works with the steam version, but a suggestion is to check to see if the game is in C:\Program Files\Steam\ steamapps\ Youremailaddress@whatever.com

You will probably need to manually set up a shortcut to the game executable with these parameters
C:\FILEPATH\CNC3.exe" -modConfig "C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents \Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\mods\ TiberiumEssence\ TiberiumEssence_1.4.skudef

The skudef and .big file should correctly be in the documents folder, but best to check this also.

The problem is that even though the mod probably installed properly, the file telling the game where the .big file (which contains the mod files) is, is probably installed in the default game directory, rather than the steam version's directory.

Hope that makes sense lol. Please note I had to add spaces in some of the paths I wrote because otherwise it wouldn't let me post

Actually, first of all I read elsewhere that the mod was no longer being worked on, that is why I asked.

Secondly, I said ignore the bit above and asked a different question which leads me to...

Thirdly, I actually asked what method is used to do the coding, that was marked down instead of being answered. It just goes to show how stupid some people are, if they take the time to mark down people's comments and don't take the time to answer back! I actually take the time to help people but whatever.

Have you tried running the game as an administrator? Some older games have problems with writing permissions in certain areas of the hard drive when running a newer windows version like vista or 7

Is there any known bugs in regards to replacing official maps? I altered the batch file that comes with WrathEd to deal with official maps instead of unofficial. With the last version I used to get errors saying that textures were missing on some maps, some seemed to work fine and others had pink over certain areas of the map (i'm guessing because of missing textures etc). Now with 1.0.4c the maps will build without errors, but when I try to play them in game, the game just crashes to the desktop!

I have tried extracting the map back out of the .big file and opening in the map editor, which opens the map fine. The only thing I changed was the stealth reveal timer script for global conquest, however the maps work neither on GC or simple skirmish mode :-(

it isn't a random event. the same number of ships spawn on the intro scene, and therefore the same outcome will happen pretty much every time.

Hi Killerhurdz just to update you on the tatooine crashing bug, it appears to be any land battle that has a chance of crashing. If i keep the battle short, it's usually fine but longer battles have a bigger chance to crash.

Of the 6 or 7 crashes i've had so far, all of them are on land battles (no crashes in space, even on very large battles). I've also had 2 crashes whilst loading a land battle.

Since no one else seems to have wrote about it though, i suspect not many other people are having this problem.

Thanks Killerhurdz. My current game was still going slow, i started a new and it has seemed to speed it up now :-)

Also, i'm consistantly getting crashes on land battles. It isn't straight away, it's usually after about 10 mins into a battle. Tatooine I have not been able to win without it crashing to the desktop with a serious error, so i used auto resolve to get around it.

But in my new game I had a land battle on hypori and again, I was just about to win it by killing the last squad of clones and it crashed!

Is this a known issue or am i the only one experiencing this?
