Shockwave pushes the creative vision of Zero Hour to its logical conclusion with immaculate quality. This is what Zero Hour would have been if it had been in development for a few more years.

The balancing of the mod is outright atrocious on every level and in every aspect. The only thing it has going for it is the upgraded graphics.

What an absolutely amazing mod. I've been playing Simplex for the past 3-4 years and it's been an absolute blast. I didn't realize just how much of a quality leap this mod has been over Complex until I played a match of 9.1 yesterday for comparison. The improvements to the UI, the graphics, the units, the combat... Fantastic job, thank you.

When I first played Skyrim, my first Elder Scrolls game, I was completely mesmerized. The impression held for a couple hundred hours of leveling, exploring, fighting and pickpocketing. But as the excitement wanes, you start noticing the cracks. The combat is mediocre, the magic is completely lackluster and unimaginative and most of the quests have no real impact or sense of urgency to them. Past the hype and well done presentation lies a middling RPG experience on a wonky engine.

Then why am I rating it 10/10? It would be a disservice to the modding community not to. I've spent and will spend hundreds hours in this game because most of the issues of the game can be at least somewhat mitigated by the brilliant modders who did Bethesda's job for them, eradicating bugs, overhauling every gameplay system, crafting wonderful questlines, writing hundreds and hundreds of NPCs for you to add...

So while Bethesda sadly underdelivered as it continues to do so to this day with ever increasing shamelessness, the community turned a meh RPG into a framework in which you can put together your own game, something the developers failed to do.

Homeworld 2 was already an amazing game before, but after playing this mod, vanilla is just too simple. A masterpiece.

Love it! Has great potential! The beta rocks! It will be in the top three ZH mods for sure when it gets polished, and maybe even number 1 if the developers keep up their A game and keep pushing the amazing features. Great job, guys!
