Between the second and third Tiberium wars, GDI began researching new mammoth designs. After several models they chose this one and built a prototype. It was several times larger than the Mammoth MK2 and packed much more firepower, but its build and maintenance costs were extremely high. They stopped production of it and went with the mammoth MK3 instead because of the lack of Nod activity since the last war. Now they mainly show off this beast at town parades to boost civilian moral. (incase you're wondering I made this in... Google Sketchup) :0 EDIT: less coffee tableish view Moddb.com

It does kind of look flat from that angle, but it actually angles up here and there if you look close enough.
You said the same thing on the Tank group.
And my god, this looks horrible, I mean how long this thing would take to make a turn ?

Wait I figured out already !
It moves like a crab to move sideways and it there is no front or rear so it could move either way without any difference.
Copy and paste works wonders doesn't it... ;) Ya, it doesn't need to turn, its got tons of cannons facing every direction and most can also turn to face every direction, and no those aren't giant 2 sided pencils. (points to the two orange things running lengthwise along the sides)

eehh... doesn't look anything mammoth to me...
and also, there's already a mammoth mk3, and it also seems that the MARV can beat this thing hands down by shooting the legs.
This is the Mammoth MK2.5
The MARV was a fail in my opinion. Why use sonic grenades (I don't even think that such thing will be ever used) while they could use the good, old trusty railguns? It was also too big to be any believable at all, at least most other things in C&C are more believeable than the epics of KW.
But it's not meant to be a fighting vehicle! The Marv is meant to be a Tib eraser! Sonic work best on Tiberium!
well it should at least be more of an improvement than a replacement, because the mammoth mk2 walker is nothing like this.

Alright guys, we need a new idea for a mammoth!
Make it bigger!
Add more guns!
