yeah.....so who is making this units ? this is really insulting........

Not that my opinion should carry any weight, but I actually like this design. It reminds me a bit of BigDog ( En.wikipedia.org ), so it provides a more grounded counterpart to the more sci-fi Titan and Mammoth Mk.II designs.

Also, I'm not sure that it's entirely out of character for GDI to use autonomous combat units. One could justify the absence of autonomous combatants with rationale that GDI finds that they present an unacceptable risk of collateral damage. However, one could also justify their presence with the rationale that GDI is casualty averse and would rather lose robots than soldiers.

Then again, maybe it's just that the Gigacannon is so bad that everything else starts to look like a 10/10 in comparison. On the flip side, the Widowmaker looks pretty bad too, so who knows.

It's more likely a form of psychological warfare.
i would actually be scared than laugh if this things would come and attack the place. even some of the designs look ridiculous and not fit CnC. psychological warfare vehicles would lead the enemy trembling or humiliated getting crushed by a bunch of Robotic looking mechs.
