See it for yourself. Good job EA, you're the best. I never had much hope for a F2P C&C anyways, but i at least desperately wanted some new content... Its probably for the best though. Looks like I'll be waiting another 3 years for my C&C fix...

I have mixed feelings about this. Hopefully they'll listen to the fans this time for real though and give us a C&C we actually really want. Knock on wood.

I facepalm every time someone says "Bring back Westwood" or something similar. Do you actually think that they will just simply quit their current jobs to just form back Westwood?
Well excuse my stupidity, I was exprssing an opinion. I fully understand that they have jobs, and that leaving them to re-form Westwood would financialy hurt them. There's a difference between being hypothetical, and being literal.
And my appologies if I sound angry, I'm just a little upset you had to go and call me out on a small oversight.
Westwood Studios is now Petroglyph and they're not doing any better either...

The layoffs by Trion a few months ago may have lower that 20%.
There is no Westwood anymore.

I congratulate EA for listening to fans about this, and to hopefully see a powerful game added to the Command and Conquer franchise.

I have to agree in seeing this as a positive thing. While it had potential as a Generals spin-off, it quite correctly was still not what the fans are looking for.
EA could have just pulled another C&C4 and released Generals 2 despite knowing it was bad for the sake of a quick money-grab. Instead they axed it. I congratulate them on this, and look forward to seeing what EA plans for the C&C franchise.

The dev team is telling us it was due to corporate politics. First EA cancels the game, then fabricates a lie to justify it. **** EA.

No, not at all.
I think it's for the best the f2p/premium subscription incarnation of C&C has been scrapped. I think if they had stuck to Generals 2 they may have gotten better results.
No doubt though, the next C&C game will be years away from now. They've even layed off the team that was working on this so that tells you something.
I do so hope they retain all of the assets. Thats like three years of hardwork there, screwed over by the FREE 2 PLAY SUX thing, which is understandable. After all, this was originally good ol' Generals. I was liking how the GLA was shaping up ;_;

I think they still can release a game even it will be an utter crap. they're a big company after all, I don't think it will make that much difference. it's still way better than rage-quitting midway because the testers said "lol dis no zh, I want my old zh back!"
Well lets hope they release some source art or something there where some nice models in CnC 2013 that can be modded in Tibwar or RA 3
