but i cannot understand your modeling way
it is not a low poly and it is not a high (it is somekind of a hybrid)
i could only say that if you modeling things like screws then simple do a high poly model and latter bake details on a low one like screws and other high res details
Actually i would say apart from a few bits like the bolts its a low poly model but how you would define that would be the game engine its going in really for source engine it looks like itd be a bit high but for UDK its low.
The model is low poly except those bolts and some other details which I thought that they would look good.
well in simple way those small details are a bit to high poly
if you want to do it low poly then forget spheres and use something close to cone or a 8x pyramid with normal map of a sphere
