I think I am finely done with the texture for now (I want to model a another gun)
Same as before around 8,000 tris (around 7,000 without bullets)
2048x2048 texture size.
I would like any comments on if you think it's looks good or bad (texturing is not my strong point but I am trying to get better)

some suggestions:
i belive wood dark lines is a bit to much intensive on the wood texture
and i think round scraches like you did on metal part are a bit unnatural
lol yeah ill try not to make the scratches strait next time.
One thing ill point out is the wood texture looks very rough with the sharp specular while i believe wooden rifle bodies are varnished so i would increase the spread on the specular a little bit or maybe try fading out the wood a bit more other wise as i have said before its a good model the metal bits look great.
I am using a oak texture, oak is open grain wood so even when you sand it you will never get it completely flat...
wait yeah your right, ill see if i can work on the normals and spec map. thanks =)
