TS, I think this might be your window of opportunity to introduce your game towards those AC players who hates Assault Horizon big time in favor of traditional AC (i.e, me). Edited by: Nergal01 |

Ah bugger you beat me to it, but yeah I think its time that Times starts showing off his game big time if he wants to compete with the black sheep of AC family. -- Noli Timere Messorem

Still though, I can smell those graphicwhores takes Assault Horizon above VT above all over again; most people always opt for huge-ass AAA titles instead of indies. *sigh* -- anon wrote: 'anon' wrote: Now I shall use this 'Vector Thrust Threshold' to measure how awful your product is |

Well that news took me by surprise. But as an AC fan I’m very pleased to see a game in PC, but as Vector Thrust’s developer they are now the ENEMY! I suppose comparisons with the graphics are inevitable, but that’s okay if people think AC is superior in that matter, because that isn’t where this game is trying to compete. |

Unless Namco decides to port the other parts of AC series to PC, you don't have to worry. Many AC fans think that Assault Horizon lost the spirit of the canonical Ace Combat. |

I'm probably going to buy it just to try it out (I didn't buy it on console). However, console ports generally aren't all that mod-friendly so Vector Thrust should do fine. |

I wonder how well it's gona work on PC, japanese developers usually mess things up when porting. |
||

given how long after the original release this is, I think they might actually have optimized it (a little, lol) wonder which DLC is getting cut. hopefully it's not any of the planes but just some idolf@il skins. As for the graphics whores, if Timesymmetry makes it possible to mod out the cel-shading, a larger mod team could come along later and make a black mesa-style HD mod (or texture pack). |

From what I've heard things like YF-23 and Hokum and maps are still in (one of the screenshot shows YF-23). I'd rather worry whether Shinden and Macross F-14 skins (exclusive Japan only) are still in. But I doubt how MP would even works remembering it uses GFWL. -- anon wrote: 'anon' wrote: Now I shall use this 'Vector Thrust Threshold' to measure how awful your product is |

GFWL... Shudder... Why not just use Steams servers instead? -- Noli Timere Messorem

Ditto. Japanese companies tend to use GFWL all the time for their PC ports (except for Square Enix, strangely). -- anon wrote: 'anon' wrote: Now I shall use this 'Vector Thrust Threshold' to measure how awful your product is |

Namco's used Steam for Ridge Racer. WHY IN THE NAME OF NAGASE NOT USE IT FOR AC:AH-E!? |
||
Dec 3 2012 Anchor | ||
I'm not really into this matter, so I do not know, but what is the problem with using GFWL? |

@arazgriz25 Why would you utter the name of that harlot... or even associate with those soft core peaceniks? Edited by: Kilel |

Ironically, the first day I learned about Vector Thrust was the same day that NamDai announced that Ace Combat was going PC. Hopefully, some cool mods for that will also appear. Just imagine: |

The problem with that is that ACAH is a blight on the Ace Combat name. |

There's nothing interesting about the story of assault horizon. It's just a recruiting commercial for the USAF. I can't even remember most of the character's names. Just "the chick", "the black guy," and "the door gunner with the skull mask that's probably against some one of the billion regs they don't tell you about in recruiting commercials" |

There'll be no modding to such extent. I only can predict the modding either will be nothing at all or limited to graphics (plane skin, shaders, etc) Also, it's basically Call of Duty in Ace Combat coverings. -- anon wrote: 'anon' wrote: Now I shall use this 'Vector Thrust Threshold' to measure how awful your product is |

yup. Whether it's turn out to be another failboat, moddable or not, I don't care anymore. AAA titles is no more my concern now. Edited by: Nergal01 -- anon wrote: 'anon' wrote: Now I shall use this 'Vector Thrust Threshold' to measure how awful your product is |

I lost interest of AAA titles ever since 2010. -- anon wrote: 'anon' wrote: Now I shall use this 'Vector Thrust Threshold' to measure how awful your product is |
