I don’t think there is a thread for this so I created this one for anyone to make suggestions for new actions, triggers or anything else related to mission edition/creation. |

Well, there's this thread but I think this thread may be a completely different topic. Edited by: Nergal01 -- anon wrote: 'anon' wrote: Now I shall use this 'Vector Thrust Threshold' to measure how awful your product is |

I guess not so much for mission creation but for skirmish mode I would really like to be able to pick the paint scheme of AI aircraft. For example if I chose MiG-29's and Flankers for opponents I'd like to be able to specify the squadrons/paint schemes they use and not just randomly assigned dissimilar schemes. |

I would like the ability to put "dead" units (unit corpses) on the map in the editor. --

I realized what I’m trying to ask is more technical stuff to have an idea how to code, but I’ll add this the way I see it and then will be adjust if needed.

Would be nice if burning effect could be set in unit properties. That would also allow for cool in-engine cutscenes. --

It'd be nice to have Ace Combat style targeting to allow for slightly more similar mission design: invincibility actions if they're not already in the editor (I can't recall), the ability to set an enemy to not be targetable (but can still take damage), some rules of engagement (don't engage until fired upon, engage at will, etc). It would be nice if rearming worked properly in a mission. Currently we deal with constantly having our ammo counts reset back to the normal count for the plane and increasing from there, when it would be much better to be able to add to a total. Maybe this is getting a bit out there, but it'd be nice to be able to fly a path, record it in some way shape or manner, and then have the AI follow that same path either in the form of a circuit or how it gets from point A to point B. -- Swing-Wing Crazy |

Ah I missed that. Then add my voice to the request. |

Being able to change the teams for a unit already in the mission would be another useful feature - and being able to tell a 'friendly' AI to target the player and fire their missiles, then turn enemy would be a really nice function. -- Swing-Wing Crazy |

I suprised that how this is not already available, it should have been one of the most basic actions |

IIRC there isn't any actions I can use to change the information regarding a uni- Actually, that right there. An action one can use to change all of the information regarding a unit (object, SP weapon, etc) as if it were just placed into the map that way after whatever triggers the action. Possibly even some way to do this to the player's aircraft would be great. To be completely honest I don't really have a full understanding of what we can really do already with the mission editor. Kinda need to be able to make co-op missions before I can really get the opportunity to flesh the thing out. Edited by: Boogie_Van -- Swing-Wing Crazy |

Only noticed now that the option to change team is already there, the action is called "Unit Team". But to able to change the player aircraft during gameplay will require some extra code, because the game was build assuming the player would only use one aircraft in the entire mission |
