The project started expanding more than a VR Tour to Vortex Rickers
there are 3 levels so far that can be visited in the demonstration and more are going to be released
this update is about enhancing more the Unreal Intro level by adding animated and static meshes also making minor changes to lighting to come a step close to the original.

needs a way to bump up the supersampling it's nothing but a blurry mess right now
this is easy to fix from the game console (~) you can adjust it with the command r.ScreenPercentage x , x can be 1 to 300

I'd recommend naming this Unreal UE4 or something instead, though, as it seems to be a lot more than its VR portion. Maybe advertise the VR bit a lot in the description?
My primary goal is to recreate the classic game in an optimized version for vr, maybe i have to make this more clear in the description as you say, but also i don't want to let down the fans of the game that don't own a vr headset, there is a thin line here as you see.
Oh, I see. So the emphasis really is on the game in VR, not just on UE4. Gotcha.
By the way, do you have any progress on weapons or enemies or are you more focused on the levels and VR etc?
