The Prison is no longer an Orc building but instead an utility building where each race can produce certain units from. What units are produced are entirely dependent upon the race.
Oh and this screen shot was taken on a random map that had used the new terrain assets / geomorphic plates - I recognize the bottom-right and top-left arrangements. :)
So what do the Orcs get in exchange? A Troll Den, perhaps so we can continue to have Trolls?
I don't think Orcs really need the slaves mechanic, ot fits Dark Elves, Undead, Minotaurs and Dark Dwarves much better thematically.
Trolls are produced in the hovel, sheeps are also produced in there and yes, slavehorde was removed from the orcs (possibly from the dark elves too, with the new soul system).
I've been dreaming about the wbc1 battleyard, since the orcs lost a building... there is talking about late researches and there is nothing for the orcs right now (this building could allow trolls and these researches later). - Just wild thinking in the middle of the night anyways.
Orcs don't really need that building, perhaps Trolls and sheep could be produced in the Wolfriders building, and you could rename it to Beast Pens or something.
The Upgrades from the Hovel could either remain there, giving us a reason to have atleast 1 Hovel instead of massing Battleyards, or move them to the Battleyard or the Goblin Tower.
If you want some Upgrade suggestions for the Orcs, I would pitch in 3 ideas:
-Gornak's Black Host: Orcs are permanently infected with disease status
-Goblin Alacrity: Goblins (the normal ones, not the Cieftain, Shamman or Shooter) get a boost to move and attack speed, becoming a bit like the lategame Zerglings on Starcraft Brood Wars (affectionately called Cracklings by the community).
-Orcfire Bolts: Kobold Snipers weapons are infused with Orkish Chaotic fire and now their attacks have a chance to set enemies ablaze (or Berzerk)
I did feel that some of the above-mentioned units become useless late-game. These researches will be very useful. On to the suggestions list!
cool suggestions. Snipers are planned to have diease arrows in the future too!
Could also make the No Pain! research affect Goblins as well as or instead of Orcs.
No Pain! seems much more like an Orc thing, the Goblins are always a bit more cowardly.
indeed, it makes no sense if goblins get that research...
