Red Alert: A Path Beyond is now available for download and the 1.3.0 Client Full Installer has been added to the list of downloads here at ModDB. You will need to get this in order to play on the official server, which has already been updated! Other servers may not be up to date yet, so if you receive a version mismatch error, that is the likely cause; please try another server.

The full client installer is completely standalone; you do not need to download any other software in order to begin playing. Do not install into the same folder as any other program, including prior versions of Red Alert: A Path Beyond! For best results, please uninstall any previous versions you may have, and do not attempt to mix in outdated content with this version.

You may notice several changes to your favorite maps, and numerous tweaks, feature enhancements, or bugfixes. You may want to experiment in a single-player LAN game in order to become familiar with the new version, before joining any of the servers. There have also been usability enhancements. Note that the "radio commands" have been replaced with "EVA announcements" and are a bit different in their tone and applicability to various situations, and you should become familiar with these in particular. A modern or classic control profile have also been included.

A 1.3.0 client patch, and 1.3.0 dedicated server will both be available in around a week.

Existing server operators: You can update your server by simply copying over the newer data into your existing server setup while you wait for the new FDS. An enhanced free dedicated server, due out in a week, will introduce new TCP based bot-server interaction that shows significant throughput increases and will boost your SFPS substantially in most cases. It is highly recommended to get the new FDS once it is available, instead of trying to manually upgrading.
