Quake 2 is another classic from id software.While not modded quite as much as it's predecessor or Q3A, it is still a blast to play and the mod's on offer are bundles of fun. Introduction Long time ago, I felt the urge to improve upon the depth of the cooperative game mode of Quake2. I also enjoyed playing role playing games of various kinds. After some thinking, the ancestor of Giex - Chacoop - was born. Chacoop spun oGiex aims to become the first MMORPG mod for Quake2, by taking the fundamental ideas from Chacoop and enhancing them.

I loved giex, even more than vortex mod. Unfortunately, this download seems to only be a pak9 file. The proper mod .dll is not here. I tested it. A sad loss. I may have giex mod on a CD somewhere. I don't think any copies exist of this mod. I'm just glad we have various shooter-RPGs amongst modern gaming. Too bad most of them are heavily slowed-down compared to quake.
