Volcanic ash has covered the earth, suffocating life and leaving a dead planet behind. The remaining population has resorted to scavenging and tribalism to stay alive, cannibalism and slavery being a common tale.
The player is part of a dying rural community, slowly running out of essential resources. Your goal is to travel across the plains of Central Asia to search for any glimmer of hope, a sign of a helping hand among the ruins of the old world.

We've been quiet as we had to remake nearly all of our content to a new standard and weren't willing to show anything off. A day/night cycle was very important along with large landscapes - something Source just couldn't do.
The player follows a guided story and path across the plains, with the game being broken into day and night.
During the day the player scavenges and explores old structures and cave systems for any loot they can find, along with a place to setup camp. When night comes hostile creatures start to roam the plains so it's important to be prepared and have a secure campsite.
Having an optimal load-out and being on the move is important, bogging yourself down with assault rifles will slow you down. Ammunition is limited so choosing to run can be a more efficient option for survival.
The players inventory is fully customizable, with equipment and armour for all parts of the body. Crafting useless junk into useful items is an important skill, with the keen explorer being rewarded for gathering rare parts.
Along the journey you'll encounter various individuals who'll either aid you or stab you in the back for your actions, recognizing these differences will keep you safe. Various scattered towns and communities do exist and the occupants are willing to trade - provided you get their trust.

So after weeks of coding, I finally have the inventory system done! It still needs polish but the basic functionality is there.
Also, the contribute page worked great. We received around 80 ideas.
