Deus Ex Enhanced ShifterPlus is my attempt to update DaemonJax's Deus Ex Enhanced v2 mod to the latest edition of Y|yukichigai's Shifter Mod to enable compatibility with HDTP beta. I also incorporated elements of DarkReality's ShifterPlus to remove the limits on ammunition. Requirements are the same as Deus Ex Enhanced v2.0.0.
This is purely an amalgamation of their work, so if any of them ask me to take this down, I will. I've added elements from Smoke's mod, you can find this more developed version at Mediafire.com
Requirements: Same as Deus Ex Enhanced 2.0.0 Moddb.com
You will need the DirectX 10 renderer or else the new DeusExUI.u file will ruin the compass, save game info, health & augmentations & images menus, and conversation text as can be seen in the screenshot shown, which was not rendered in DirectX10.
Changes:
- Updated Shifter from v1.8.4 to v1.9 RC1
- Increased ammunition storage; grenades capped at 100, most other ammo capped to hundreds of thousands (based on ShifterPlus)
- Fixed Upgrade Canister icon bug present in the original Deus Ex Enhanced v2 mod.
Upcoming Changes:
- Half-Life style Duck Jumping and high jumps and long jumps (from Smoke's mod)
- Crouching cushions fall damage and modified CheckBob & AdjustAim (from Smoke's mod)
- Infolink upgrade allows long-distance computer access (from Smoke's mod)
- Spybot can access computers and frob stuff (from Smoke's mod)
- JCDentonFemale (from Atlas RC4 mod)
- PaulDentonPlayer, Z1, and Hela (from Zodiac)
- Remove skillpoint loss for knocking out friendly NPCs (based on ShifterPlus)
- Swimming skill also affects speed, jumping, and fall damage (from Human Renovation)
- Remove restrictions on some weapons like the pistol not firing in water (from ShifterPlus)
- Biomod's new targeting system, challenges, pickpocketing, wallgrab & hazmat/armor behavior
- All classes only found in the DeusEx.u files of 2027, GMDX Final, Biomod 1.0, Smoke39 v0.2a, Human Renovation 1.30, HardcoreDX, & Shifter v1.9 RC1
- All of the images and sounds in the DeusEx.u file of HardcoreDX
- Several of the classes, images, and sounds found in Zodiac.u and Chronos.u
- Changed Mission05 so if you kill Manderley after the first conversation, you'll have the second
- Disable HDTP Anna Navarre due to a bug with lip movement
- Some of the DeusEx.int descriptions, passive augs, health-boosting skills, & Hardcore mode from GMDX Final
- Get full points for killing Anna whether you use Combat or Killphrase
- Remove the idle bobbing caused by Smoke's mod (was perhaps a coding error on my part)
- Get full points for killing Gunther whether you use Combat or Killphrase
- Fix a possible texture bug with Shifter's Magnum and HDTP's active LAMs
- Create a separate DeusExUI.u file to make v2.0.0 somewhat compatible with other renderers
- Obtain the source code of cwdohnal's D3D9 renderer and recompile it with DXE v2.0.0 support
- Obtain SwissCM's enhanced Deus Ex fonts and add them to DeusExUI.u where applicable
- Re-upscale all PCXs through Linear or xBRZ Hybrid-Bicubic pixel filters & recompile DeusExUI
- Remake DaemonJax's upscaled Health Bar & Augmentation icons and add them to DeusExUI.u
- Include a fix to give Zodiac Paul Denton his proper texture when using HDTP
- Add over 60 new unlockable achievements, including several based on DXHR:DC & The Fall
- New Game Plus option like in Director's Cut and The Fall to reuse skills, augs, & weapons
- Include a fix for custom Infolink pictures, network logos, and weapon icons
- Compact Inventory Stack like the DX3 mod

I know what you mean. I have a less graphically endowed second computer, and the DX10 version runs real slow on that machine. In order for me to release a DX10-independent copy of Deus Ex Enhanced Plus, I'd have to do one of two things:
1. Decompile this DeusEx.u file using WOTgreal and undo changes r10-13 on the deus-ex-enhanced Google Code page, then recompile it using UCC.exe.
2. Decompile the Deus Ex Enhanced 1.3 DeusEx.u file using WOTgreal and add changes r53-61 on the shifterdx Google Code page, then recompile it using UCC.exe.
Of course, I've already completed adding all the additional features I've listed up to "Remove the idle bobbing caused by Smoke's mod" in my current build of DeusEx.u. If you'd prefer, I could release a build of that version without all the DX10-dependent features but with all those features from other mods.
Wow, looks like a really big work. What about trying to contact the mod author to ask for the source? :)
