This is a weird project which has grown up from another game which I failed miserably to develop.
Is that make sense?
In other words, this is a project where I share experience.
It's not really for players but for DarkPlaces developers mostly.
As you probably know, previously there was a game called Fatal which was about space and exploration. And the development failed. After this I decided to make a remake of Onirica which was a mod for Far Cry. Well, and the development failed too. Not because it was horrible, but because Darkplaces Engine is for different things.
But I still had a bunch of unfinished stuff on Darkplaces which I think could be interesting to show. And I found the solution how to do it.
Are you still want to explore a missing stuff like a level from Fatal? Well, the only option that is left is to explore Decomposition series.
So what exactly is it?
Original idea is concluded in this:
– there is just one level per each part
– there is no usual gameplay
– there is no end of game, you quit it when you done exploring
– and there is a musical track which usually I record myself
But you had to be warned that this is highly experimental and clearly not for everyone.
However I hope you will enjoy it. Or at least some of these.
Unfortunately. I had some problems with gamedesign, it was redesigned like 2 or 3 times, which is after a year of developing is not a good sign at all.
Description: You probably already know that this was a level of my cancelled game FATAL.
Description: Previously this was a level where I showed a lighting of DP to YouTube.
i got a good feeling about this. tracking.
This looks very interesting. You have chosen to pursue a bold artistic statement - I hope it works out...
I will be keeping an eye on this project.
I am curious where you got the escher objecct: Moddb.com
I am wondering if you would share the model with me?
(I kind of have an escher thing too: Moddb.com )
Wow, that looks pretty cool (I wonder if there are any maps like that for Xonotic with using warpzones).
It's not really an object, it's made from 3 simple brushes, each one rotating own axis which also gives an interesting visual effect.
Ah, I see how that works. The map is interesting - has a mysterious air to it. Looking good, keep going.
Thanks!
