You wake up in a dark alley, not knowing anything. What has happened anyway? You struggle after the truth and answers. Answers you want to know in the darkness and fear, which makes your heartbeat race like violent blows against your head. Where do "they" come from? What has happened? Are you just turning insane? The time is up; you can't stay there reading your smses forever. It's time to head out and find the answers. Cry of Fear is a singleplayer modification of Half-Life 1 which brings you the horror you've always been afraid of. It's a total conversion of Half-Life 1, which means it uses NO Half-Life 1 content or other peoples' files. It's all made exclusively by the developers. It also uses new gaming styles that you will rarely find in Half-Life mods, such as advanced cutscenes and other stuff that will be revealed at a later date.

This might be our quickest patch yet. This one is more of a patch for the last patch, hence why it's called 1.35. It contains a few important fixes, and also 2 custom campaigns!

This might be our quickest patch yet. This one is more of a patch for the last patch, hence why it's called 1.35. It contains a few important fixes, and also 2 custom campaigns!

Here's the changelist of patch 1.35:
Fixes and adds
- Fixed the sawcrazy in park2
- Fixed stats that got broken from patch3
- Fixed crashes in suicide mode
- Added custom campaign: Community Collab Campaign
- Added custom campaign: The Stairway
- Made support for custom doctor campaigns
- Added new donators

How to install patch 1.35
1. Launch the CoF app program (the shortcut that generates on your desktop when you install Cry of Fear). If you don't have the shortcut, you can manually find the .exe in this directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\yourusername\half-life\CryOfFear\CoFLaunchApp.exe.
2. Once your launch program is up, simply click "CHECK FOR UPDATES", and it will download it and install it for you automatically. Once the install is done, restart Steam.

As we said on the other news, we have released the Cry of Fear OST. It contains 50 songs of emotional and horrifying music, along with many other secret unused songs that we planned to have in the game. The songs are mastered and mixed to suit best as music rather than in-game music for a game.

Cool Update Guys!
Awesome
It is always great to see how fast you are, Team Psyskallar, to adress issues and the like in the for of patches. Something most big developers don't seem to feel like doing anymore nowadays.
Also, jesus... The Custom Campaigns are growing. I believe my Let's Play will never come to an end. Not that I mind it >)
It helps that they are getting donations :)

Well Sir, what can you say about 3.5 other then "thanks for the support, fixing stuff and custom campaigns" ? That's really all one could say. And I see most people complimenting the mod within these comments, a sign that they appreciate the latest update >)

Hope you guys like the collab campaign x) .
I got a bug in a second map of collab campaign.
After scripted sequence with red subtitles and a little yard with a few AoM monsters and note "I give it to you" I'm entering the door and screen goes black without HUD or anything.
Well finally able to download the most up-to-date version, gonna give it a roll later on, other than that - everything about 1.3, and this update is lookin' sweet.
Hopefully no major bugs 'n such pop up.
Interesting that you guys built the mod on the flow without a design document. Pretty impressive. Although I think the story could of been a bit more intuitive and engaging if characters had more interaction. You guys had good cutscenes and features that could engage conversation with other individuals within the mod, like when you first encounter Sophie or the Doctor. Seems like a design document could help when doing things like character development, though I guess that was not a priority for a horror game with a original focus on detachment.

It will create launcher app at your desktop and you will need to launch CoF through it.
