You wake up in a dark alley, not knowing anything. What has happened anyway? You struggle after the truth and answers. Answers you want to know in the darkness and fear, which makes your heartbeat race like violent blows against your head. Where do "they" come from? What has happened? Are you just turning insane? The time is up; you can't stay there reading your smses forever. It's time to head out and find the answers. Cry of Fear is a singleplayer modification of Half-Life 1 which brings you the horror you've always been afraid of. It's a total conversion of Half-Life 1, which means it uses NO Half-Life 1 content or other peoples' files. It's all made exclusively by the developers. It also uses new gaming styles that you will rarely find in Half-Life mods, such as advanced cutscenes and other stuff that will be revealed at a later date.

Wow. If this is the final cut-scene... Sequel?

Anyways, looks good. Think the metal door texture could be better though.

The description meant that this is probably the final rendition of the model for the main character.

I like it. Is he still using rumpels face?

It would be cool if the further you got into the game more blood and dirt would appear on him during cutscenes and stuff to show he's been fighting/injured.

Well, Simon looks great! Great details!

But the textures, and the prison bars and door look a little low-end for what you guys can do.

Maybe you can model them, and add a model-door entity. I'm gonna make one. And I think it's pretty much the same as a door, except you're changing the view to a model, adding a model parameter in the FGD (lets say under door_mdl_rotating, add the same thing that they have under model_generic. It's really basic). That way, the doors look HD.

Not saying you're wrong, but the picture is meant to show the main character, not the surroundings :)

I could easily model everything in this mod, but because Half-Life 1 engine spreads lights only to the models origin, they get a very bad lighting. That's why I prefer brushes, because they catch the lights correctly, and also spreads shadows.

Nice job, looks better than my version. Will his eyes move?
I can see the hood string is split entirely, which means someone forgot to realign the uv's.

Thanks. I did the edits of the model. I remade the face texture and removed the emo fringe. And lol yeah, I must have missed that UV thing. xD

I work too fast.

Edit: Oh and yea, his eyes won't move. But he will have face expressions. It doesn't look too bad when his eyes doesn't move.

I love every screenshot anyway, so there is not much to say. Awesome texture, awesome Simon, awesome Awesome, nuff said.

I think that when Simon will lower his hood we'll see a bar-code on his nape, revealing he's been in prison or something. DOnt know why, but I personally imagine that.
Btw, on the model: great job as always.
On the door: if you're using paranoia's renderer, then use 512x512 textures to add some extra detail
