Our latest release includes changes and new features that implement several popular requests, including:
- Support for installing assets from an English “The First Decade” DVD.
- Adding the ability to view the map after a match completes.
- Adding a notification when a game admin selects a map with custom rules.
- Recording replays for single player missions.
- Removing the “Enemy Detected” warnings from RA and D2K.
- Fixing bottlenecks in the AI and harvesters to dramatically improve late-game performance.
Other notable changes include:
- Completely overhauled in-game music behaviour (don’t forget to install the music from Extras → Music!).
- Capture screenshots (saved to the support directory) using Ctrl/Cmd+P.
- Units will no longer pursue enemies after they disappear under the fog of war.
- Improved aircraft and paradrop behaviour in RA.
- Added missions Atreides01a and Atreides01b and FMV installation to D2K.
As usual, this is only a small sampling of the full changelog that is available on our wiki.

Once again we hope you’ll enjoy this newest installment of OpenRA!
We know that many people are excited about our in-development Tiberian Sun mod, and we’re pleased to report that we have made significant progress during this release cycle. The core engine changes to support the 2.5D isometric maps used by TS and RA2 are now complete, and we are making slow-but-forward progress on implementing the many missing gameplay features for TS. There is still a lot of work to go, so we do not have a formal release schedule for these mods.
The spy in Red Alert has gained the ability to detect enemy spies and
infiltrate enemy production buildings to unlock veteran unit production.
It is once again possible to view the map after a mission or match is complete.
It is now also possible to view replays of campaign missions.
Use the repair cursor to order damaged vehicles back to a service depot.
In D2K an idle carryall will give it a quick lift!
How to install dabing for Dune 2000 mod?
How to install what?
You can get everything you need in order to play by downloading the assets, or you can get that + music + mission videos by installing from CD.
Fenixprodabing.cz
Unzip into %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\OpenRA\Content\d2k. See Github.com for instructions.
Place those in your Content folder (and overwrite the files that are currently there). That is \Documents\OpenRA\Content\D2k\ for Windows.
You can see paths for other OSes here Github.com
Thanks
Epic! But no nerfed shock troopers right?
The discussion is going on at Github.com
The one thing that you guys should've done first is the ability of importing the necessary files not just from the CD, but from the harddrive too for those who don't have the CD anymore, just the properly(sort-of) running games.
That's not really an issue, as you can always just download all the necessary files if you don't have a CD. You can also the files manually from the installed game if you wish.
You can make a feature request here - Github.com , but I can't promise it will be done because 1) it's Windows-specific, 2) those games don't need to be installed; they can be copied and still work, and the only way OpenRA would have of detecting them would be through the Windows registry, which won't work if they are simply copied from elsewhere, 3) it would be a relatively low-priority feature.
If you need help with copying the files manually, the best way of communicating with us is on our IRC channel.
Why can't we install D2k music any longer? :(
Is there a copyright issue?
Also, when can we expect the D2k invisibility effect?
Any possibility to hope for some kind of worm rider one day just like in Emperor? (it's the only thing I actually liked in Emperor with the cinematics/story... but the worms were way too weak)
It was never possible to download D2k music, exactly because of copyright reasons. You can still install it from the CD.
D2k's invisibility effect is not planned at the moment.
Also worm riders aren't planned, but that may change in the future, once we are done overhauling the mod to match the original.
