Blender animation is very powerful. There's nothing you can't do ( because if you need something really special just put up a Python script as Constraint or Driver... yummy! :D )

I wouldn't say softimage's is free, it's got limits to it & it's not the full version. But if you mean free in cost then it qualifies (not can't use it for as much as you can others).

It's free to download. It's free to use non commercially. It supports games, it also supports rendering. It has a watermark, and that's about it. If he needs a free animation package for a mod, he's covered. If he needs a free animation package to practice his animation skills, he's covered.

Uhm... since when is "watermark" a feature which qualifies a renderer.

Uhm... since when did I say it was?

I brought up the watermark as one of the only limitations. Does a watermark prevent you from animating or rendering?

I see. I didn't understood that sentence of yours correctly. Thought you mentioned it as a feature not a limitation ( as mentioned by you not really an important or hindering one ).

Ahh. I suppose I should have seperated that sentence a bit more.
