In the videos it can be seen that there is a crude voxel lit geometry that is used to lit what can be seen in the picture. With that being said, it is clear that until at least few years later, when computers will be able to process finer voxel geometry there is not green light for this engine, as the image lighting would look too crude in motion.
There is simply no miracle global illumination algorithm here, sadly.
