The Allies and the Soviets have rearmed with new weapons of war, each poised to destroy the other. Two ideological opponents, eight world powers - only one world to command and conquer.

All pretty solid changes, I really like the Harvester idea it's neato.

I'm not sure if the Plague Strike thematically fits with Japan, though. I guess I'd have to look into the lore you have in mind to be sure about that.

It actually fit to the Japan even if they are not WW2 Japan (yeah I know this is RA universe but still I believe it still fit the Japan very well), the existence of Unit 731 and chemical weapon experiment back in real life history may not cope with RA universe but I had seen plenty of reference in this mod to real life like Gurkhas, USA napalm and mercenary, etc...

Beside, this mod portrayed the Allied as a combination of high tech and some morally questionable technology like napalm or bio weapon as the Allied are not even that much a good guy to begin with considering we got UK-Japan with colonies, USA with shady method and toppling Lybia government, Europe with crackdown troop and crushing the dissent, etc... Basically I came to this mod because all of these reason, the Allied does not filled with 100% 'good guy' tech (I'm talking to you RA3 Allied) and they can't claim any moral high ground in here.

Having the Japan using Plague Strike and contamination from Sciene Vessel is just a normal thing for me to see. If USA can burn people with napalm and flame weaponry, the UK still act like an imperialist then why not the Japan? In the end nobody is an angel and I never liked the idea of the Allied faction portrayed as good guy in any manner.

Description

Next patch, the Empire of Japan is one of the countries to get some adjustment.

-- New T2 power: Iron Grunt. Calls in a paradrop of this heavy miner / repair vehicle combo, excellent at boosting the economy, safely harvesting distant ore and supporting troops on the frontline.

-- Cryo Legionnaire has been reworked into the Cryo Warrior. The old beam weapon has been replaced with a grenade-like projectile that releases freezing clouds on impact, further damaging units in the area. It is now primarily anti-infantry and less effective vs other targets.

-- New structure, the Research Institute. This replaces the Science Lab as T4 provider for Japan. It houses dangerous chemicals used in the Plague Strike support power, and also launches the missile which delivers it.

-- New power, Plague Strike. Infects units with a "plague" that damages them down to a minimum of 1% health, softening up the target to be destroyed by the main army. Furthermore, the infection can spread from one unit to another, increasing the potential damage massively. The plague will never directly kill any affected unit.
