The Xenoforce Reborn mod takes the classic Xenoforce mod from CNC Generals and re-invisions it on the CNC3 engine with new units and new designs. The new armies that are currently scheduled to be in the mod are the Earth Federation, ZEON, the Invid, and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. We also have heavily modified the original CNC3 armies, giving the GDI, NOD, and Scrin a much more dynamic gameplay experience. This mod is NOT FOR PROFIT and NON-commercial based.
The Nod Colossus is a mighty vessel not for what it can do, but for what it can accomplish through battle.
As with most of our current NOD changes it is very hard to show in pictures just what this is.
One of the things that NOD has always needed was some sort of truly epic support unit for front line use. What we have come up with is the Colossus Repair System.
Now this unit doesn't "just heal" units. Instead what it does is when it is near a husk, be it a Kodiak, an Avatar, a Juggernaught, or a Tripod, pretty much anything that leaves a husk, this unit will instantly repair it back to full health on the side of Nod. All it has to do is be within a 300 range for anytime between 1 to 30 seconds and the husk will reactivate.
The AI will automatically see the danger of this powerful unit and will try and take the Colossus out first. I can't say I can blame it lol. This kind of support is very powerful.
That is very useful, can't wait to use it!
Wow, love the thought of this strategic unit (though it sounds more in line with Scrin Tech), hope to see more of these exotic abilities in the future!
Well the initial idea behind this gos along with the idea that NOD's only true advantage over all other factions is that it has LEGION, a fully functional artificial intelligence. They use this warmind in a defensive fashion and to supplement the fact that their mobile suit tech isn't as flexible as EF's, their production abilities are not as robust as GDI's, and their weapon capabilities are not as exotic as Scrins. But they have LEGION and that can make the difference.
Scary unit :P, especially vs AI that tosses countless units against you, out-spam the AI with rows of these and its own resurrected army :D
Yep. While there is no limit to the number of these that you can have there are other things in place to keep the unit from being overpowering, like the fact you can only build one at a time and they are only build-able through the in-field system.
Agreed, I was thinking it would have to do with their AI strength. As for the comments below, was going to ask if the unit could add a stealth attachment when it either acquires a stealth tank or gains elite status, since NOD is so fond of hiding.
