To provide a comprehensive view of your character’s Status, the magnitude of all the subpages is conveyed via brightness of their buttons. In this example, the player character is well rested and hydrated, but he has a serious condition and hunger problem!
An annoying usability issue in vanilla is that you have to click on each Status button to view your character’s current needs & effects. To reduce those clicks, VUI+ displays the subpages when the mouse pointer is hovering at their respective buttons and clicking stabilizes them. In this example, moving the pointer away from the CND button will restore display on the EFF subpanel.
