You are a bounty hunter sent to Na Pali by Inuit corporation to find the crashed ship, Vortex Rikers and termine surviving prisoners and recapture three rogue AIs that were on board and then get to gravity lift taking you to planet moon where you will call for dropship to pick you up. This is a rework of a cancelled Playstation port of Unreal by Pterodactyl Software Ltd, which had all exclusive content. About 75 percent of content was recovered. This project wants to achieve finishing up of the content, retexturing the maps, making them 100 percent coop playable, fixing scripts, finishing them up and filling up holes of not salvaged content.

JackHonda has been working on updating several Episode 2 parts of the Technical Complex level.
I am quite satisfied with his work so far and I also posted screenshots made by him from one of the levels. He managed to live up previously very unfinished levels that lacked any movers and picked up from initial work of me and UnrealGecko (who first started to make new movers but dropped the work due to IRL commitments).

Quick question: how are you running UnrealEd? Do you have it set up on Windows 10 or are you using it through a VM running an older OS? Asking because I REALLY want to give Unreal modding a spin but trying to set UnrealEd up on Win10 is proving to be quite a pain.

I'm a big fan of Unreal 1 and have avidly devoured any and all information on the betas of unreal 1 i can find. I think it's real cool your research on unreal and excited to see this canceled port be given life on pc.

You and your team are awesome LEO and I hope to see more Unreal related things in the future from you. be it restorations or beta discoveries.

I got the content originally from 4 to 5 of the original level designers who still had something left (each of them a different piece of the project so to speak).

This already happened a decade ago. The archive.org stuff is actually repacks made by a former member on the rework team. As for unreal prototypes it lacks a couple of versions and some dates of files have been altered so it isn't truly historically accurate but this is something the guy's known for (I'm not talking about the guy who uploaded it to archive.org, but about who made those repacks originally to be avaiable elsewhere).

The new content is based off some content from the unreal prototypes to fill in gaps plus new content made from scratch. This is because E1P2 already had some alpha/beta content being ported back, but not everything of that I got. E1L8 was mostly missing and some stuff was recreated by yrex based off screenshots. I did talk about the entire process in some separate articles on ut99 forums. Like what E1L8 was based off including some wip maps etc. It came in the end as amalgamation of so many different map bits/stuff, even going as far as including a textured version of a map coming from ut3 pre alpha (dmharbortown) that was once leaked(not through me or any association though). There is still early version of 1996 Unreal that was once leaked and wasn't resurfaced yet, as well as the mysterious "child3" beta that is rumored to have been part of an ISO found on a dead russian forum.

archive.org lacks one of my own unearthed versions or two of them actually, that being 0.864n (not v, even though they are largely the same version n has different unreal map and some behavior differences) etc.

But most of the versions recovered were simply plain unrealed builds to be used by unreal engine licensees early on. No full beta ever leaked in exception of one or two versions.

There is still most of Unreal historical maps we never got to play that never got out with those versions.

The Chameleon heart works differently than invis, you need to stay still to become invisible and when you move your camouflage is worse, for e1l7d there is a special chameleonheart that works a little diff s it's easier to evade the gasbag. The main problem is with the enemy AI of course which would require a TC to fix really...
