As you should know by now our work hasn't progressed much. A new release is coming out today (May 4th) on our public server and tomorrow (May 5th) here on ModDB, but our Steam page will be down until next week. As I said on the summary, this release is considered our Alpha release, however it seems to be more of a patch, fixing 3 major bugs and 2 minor ones and making 4 changes to our mod:

1st- Our modded AI has been removed, so the vanilla AI should take over;

2nd- Hardpoints now are slightly smaller;

3rd- Ground combat has been disabled for the time being;

4th- Minor balancing (as it was very much needed) until our complete overhaul is ready.

These aren't in a specific order but I admit some are more game-changing than others. Nonetheless, this is what we managed to accomplish with only one modder, Goldkilla, that ended up being in charge of this release. While we do have ATDamocles and Imperial in our roster, they have been tasked with other projects, personal or regarding our mod, and couldn't help us. I also realize I'm a terrible leader but hey, I'm trying. Anyway, just wanted to tell you guys that a release is coming this month but there aren't many additions to the mod...

Hi everyone. Not sure if this issue has been mentioned or not. I have version of a1 of the Trek Wars mod and when I play, the enemy, even on hard AI only sends out fighters and no star ships. :(

Imperial ships love broadsiding too much, whenever I tell them to attack they always turn to the side. This not only cuts their firepower in half, it makes it easier for ships to get behind them where they cannot fire any weapons at all. This is a recurring problem with EAW mods I've noticed, In game and lore Star Destroyers can concentrate all their firepower at a target directly in front of them, they are dagger shaped specifically for this reason.

Did you try deleting the AI folder inside the Trek Wars XML folder?

I'm using a1, the latest version. The Trek factions currently have no AI, only the Empire, Rebellion and Consortium do since they removed the modded AI, probably due to bugs/balancing issues.

Personally I'd love to see the AI build ships based on the fleet compositions of DS9's dominion war scenes, so the fleets look similar. Though those might not be the most optimal build orders. Except the romulans though, they kinda need to be able to build more than just the D'deridex Warbirds.

this is at it's worst when fighting the Borg, it is next to impossible to gang up on the cubes when the Star Destroyers are flying in circles confusing their aft for their front.

also the Interdictor seems rather oversized and the interdiction field is far too small, it can no longer protect ships adjacent to it.
