Sidenote from Derxwna: Touhou x Command & Conquer: 金猟師闘争 ~ War of the Rice was originally a project developed by Rogan. After 3 years of development, he handed over the project to myself and the ChaoticInfinity Development Team. While we may share quite a few ideas for the mod, our development and style preferences are vastly different. As a side result of this, several people - including those in the development team, myself being part of that - have acknowledged some of the graphics being not quite up-to-par. One of our priorities, a very very low one, is replacing the graphics with new ones. The most important thing right now is balancing the mod out and making each faction interesting, fun, and hopefully balanced out. Please do not contact me about the graphics unless you're offering to help 24/7 on replacing them (And possibly don't mind your work becoming public domain if you make anything new). A Total Conversion Mod for Command and Conquer: Yuri's Revenge, combining the universes of the C&C series and popular japanese curtain-fire shooter: Touhou Project.
The mod pits four factions, two teams each, into an all-out war for the mysterious, rapidly growing, yet highly valuable plant called "Gold Rice".
This mod will make heavy use of the Ares modding extension for Yuri's Revenge for various functions, such as the new factions, the Spell Card system (Which are the Super-weapon system), odds and ends for units, weaponry, and all sorts of other miscellaneous content going on behind the scenes.
Story Summary:
Life is usual as always in the fantasy wonderland of Gensokyo, sealed off from the Outside World as we know it. Humans and Youkai, monsters of the mythical variety, live in a symbiotic relationship in this realm in relative peace. However, that peace is about to be disturbed by some very unpredictable circumstances.
It happened overnight, as people would claim. The infestation and outbreak of a new mineral, later dubbed "Golden Rice", began turning numerous fields across the realm golden with their rapid growth.
This didn't come without consequences, though. A week later, large armies of Kappa were seen coming down from Youkai Mountain and approaching various villages across Gensokyo for an unknown reason, then returning back to the mountain later. This happened almost every day for a few weeks after.
Reimu Hakurei, Shrine Maiden of the Hakurei Shrine in Gensokyo, has gone to the local Human Village, Shinjiri, on one of her usual inquiries. She asks around if they've noticed anything suspicious, and they keep talking about the recent appearances of the Kappa from the mountain. It only gets worse from there when the Kappa suddenly come down from the mountain once more, but this time bring a full army with them and start attacking the village.
And so a new conflict has arisen in Gensokyo. One which will put the entire realm at risk of destruction. The War of the Rice begins with a vicious cry for revolution.

Hello, this is Ichorheart, or Ichor, of ChaoticInfinity Development. I've been modding C&C games pretty casually and on my own time throughout the past ten years on and off. I have also been a fan of the Touhou Project for around four years, so I'm pretty invested in both Touhou and C&C. This is the first public mod I've worked on, which is huge considering that War of the Rice is a total conversion mod and requires an immense amount of work and balance tweaking. I can be contacted here or at ichorheart.tumblr.com, although be warned that there isn't an immense amount of content there pertaining to the mod.
Now that introductions are out of the way, let's get down to brass tacks. Since the last update, there have been many balance changes made to a multitude of different units, mainly basic and anti-air infantry, and basic tanks. The Ursa Hover Tank has been added to the Lunarian arsenal to compliment the alteration of the Orion to an anti-infantry vehicle. Right now, the team is working on stolen tech units and updates to the building graphics. Please bear with us and the current graphics for the buildings until newer, updated graphics have been created.
Two notable changes are that anti-tank infantry can garrison civilian structures in addition to basic infantry, allowing for more varied and interesting urban combat on maps with civilian structures. The other notable change was to one of Chireiden's superweapons: instead of revealing the map, the Chireiden building will now contain the spellcard Disappearing Paranoia, one of Koishi's spellcards, which will allow a player to cloak a small group of units for one minute of in-game time.

When this mod full version?
2019th year... still waiting for someone to resurrect this mod, or make a red alert 3 version. I would like both, but still hope for it to revive. I really enjoy the current version of mod, so i hope devs will be able to continue work on mod.

this mod still has player, so just keep your work
btw does Kappas have to be more micromanagement (Grazers don't auto shot ground unit even though in Guard mode, Kappa Mob have low primary range so they can't scan enemy far away automatically in Guard mode)
And Hakurei Guard Tower have the same problem with Grazer: do not auto attack ground unit unless being attacked first (they still shot air unit properly)

So...any possibilities of this mod update?
Mod development is on a large hiatus because of situations involving the developers (two main people working on it means that if even one of them can't work on it, productivity is demolished), but we're looking into our options.
The mod's not abandoned, but we certainly need to clean up files before we get back to work on it. Everything is a mess and unstructured.
