The Artificial Systematic Intelligence (ASI)

For all their belief in the purity of man’s ingenuity, followers of the ASI have transcended their biological flesh, and willingly integrated their consciousness with that of their leader / messiah of sorts, The Artificial systematic intelligence Mainframe (ASIM) , an Artificial Intelligence determined to “help” humanity transcend. Their aim of Ascension is through use of technology, not Tiberium; such a belief resulted in the split from Nod.

Transcendence is a transformation in a sense; a next stage of human evolution. From ASIM’s perspective such transformation must be undertaken voluntarily, but once turned down will never be “offered” again. Missionaries journey to populations of the world, offering this deal to groups trying to survive.

Design wise this faction possess a distinctive Egyptian theme, infused with a mix of gothic, futuristic and mechanical styles. They heavily believe in drawing from the older human religions’ concepts of immortality and the purity of the mind.

Relevant technologies of the ASI include: Robotics/ Computer Systems, Pulse Lasers, Dark Matter/ Anti-Matter, Light, Electricity, Nanites.

This faction prefers to wage war through a symmetric, ground supremacy focused doctrine. Units can go toe to toe with opposing forces, with little desire to remain discreet. Aircraft are fielded in a largely supporting role.

The ASI represents the quest for immortality (transhumanism) through technology (literal, physical and spiritual) as well as the implications of these technologies. Furthermore, they can embody the development and use of technology that is not fully understood by mankind, as well as how in the modern age man has grown reliant on their technological creations.
