The Great War mod is a total conversion modification for Napoleon: Total War. It creates an authentic representation of World War 1-era tactics, strategies and general warfare within the game. Including stunning new visuals that include entirely new models and textures for equipment, vehicles and more, the mod immerses you into the era with brand new gameplay unlike anything you've experienced in Total War before.

Hi I had a thought, did you try to enable the covers for the artillery?
Or it didn't go very well?

I have actually, the issue is the firing arc is reduced so much when using the covers that it makes the arty almost useless and I cant find where to change the firing arc setting for when they are in cover.

The wonders of CA's engine...
I can't remember if the vanilla howitzers can fire by arc while in cover, but I'm afraid CA did the firing trajectory a default.
And what if you make some kind of machine gun in cover?

It would look better if there were sandbags at the tops of the trenches.

We are replacing the spikes that surround dug in armies and cities under siege with a trench model. Heres what they look like so far.
