You awake from your fevered dreams and find yourself in a vaguely familiar mansion dining room. You don't remember who you are, or who the three corpses whom you THINK you should recognize are. Your clothes are torn and blood-stained, but your skin shows no trace of damage. You pick up a dagger from the floor and cautiously make your way downstairs. In one of the rooms below, something in the mirror catches your attention: You have no reflection! You have become a vampire...

Features a heavily modified and improved version of Ercan's vampire system: Drink blood from innocent victims, subdue a person's will to make him an easy target, change into a wolf or a vampiric mist at will, bluff, sneak or kill your way through a set of mysterious and well-hidden locations in the area in and around Silverymoon as you attempt to find out what the hell happened to you.

Heavily story-based gameplay. Features 2 possible endings, and a story which forks half-way through the module.

The Bitter Taste of Blood is many years old by now, but I figure if you're still trawling the Internet for Neverwinter Nights mods, you probably know what to expect already. I'm still reasonably fond of the module, which I think has a lot of good ideas and nice details and is fairly well executed by and large. If you decide to give it a spin, I invite you to post your feedback in the comments here, even if I have no plans to update the module in any way. I'll also be happy to answer any questions you might have, so I'll try to check the comments regularly to see if anything new pops up. Have fun :-)

Good mod but it seems a bit buggy, I think. When I try to approach Phelia, she attacks me, and I can't kill her cause my +2 dagger or +1 greatsword seem to be ineffective. So the only option I have is to go get a better sword, only the city now is completely hostile to me, and I can't buy anything... :\ Is this stuff supposed to happen?

PS: I really don't like the fact that I don't get any exp for killing stuff, takes the whole reason away.

PPS: You probably should have lowered the attributes increase from becoming a vampire, and gradually increased the bonuses the more the player fed on humans.
