Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. One of the first and most widely produced New Class designs, the Sacheen class Escort Frigate quickly became the bedrock of the New Republic fleet. Heavily based in concept on the famous Nebulon-B Frigate, early designs for the Sacheen were similar to the Corona frigate. However where as the Corona was developed for versatility, the Sacheen was designed purely for ship to ship combat, with the firepower to defeat Imperial light escorts like the Carrack, Lancer, and Raider while supporting larger warships against Star Destroyer sized vessels.
Armed with multiple heavy turbolaser cannons, the Sacheen serves as the New Republic light frigate, and is very strong against antifighter and support ships while holding its own against most other ship types. It can be further upgraded with special ion cannons to help deplete enemy shields faster and drain cruiser antimatter.
Full credit for this model belongs to WarbNull, who created this ship based on a fan artwork from a user called AdamKop (http://orig12.deviantart.net/779e/f/2015/266/f/e/star_wars_nebulon_c_frigate__free_model_dlc__by_adamkop-d9alkcl.jpg). His "Nebulon-C" shares some similarities with the Sacheen, and is a more detailed design than the simple and perhaps incorrect official sketch we have of the Sacheen, which is why it is used here in this mod.

Adamkop does have many interesting designs rather glad one has found it's way here. Though still hopeful that somehow the model used for the Galactic class finds its way in somehow.
