Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. Begun, a new conflict has.
But who will they fight for in the Interregnum?
And will they have good targeting computers or really bad ones? XD
Well even most standard capitalships can only fire at 4 targets at once in Sins (1 per side), so the lack of being able to engage multiple targets is unlikely to affect them too much.
The New Republic I'm sure but they could also be an independent faction guarding their section of space that would be cool too. I always knew the Hapans would be coming it was just a matter of when.
Looks great hopefully they are playable...
Don't think they have enough different ships for a player setup but maybe they are a part of a player.
It could be for the new republic when you research a special diplo tech they lend lease some of their ships.
Or like the mandos, they have a own system with a building where they can be build, or something totally different.....
This also sounds like a really good idea...
As jk_bonn mentioned, they don't have enough ships to be a full faction, but one of the playable factions will be able to build them. Hapes will also likely be a special planet one day to let other players recruit Hapan units.
As cool as they look, Battle Dragons have got to be one of the silliest designs in Star Wars.
Perhaps it will be an artillery cruiser?!
the battledragons where designed win that way due to a old turbo laser design.
like the automatic machine gun vs the gattling gun.
modern turbo designs are like the machine gun, the old style the hapians use are more like the gattling. the turbo lasers rotate around the ring of the ship allowing a fresh one to always be at the front while the old ones cool down. this shows itself as a "river" of laser-fire.
I am aware, hence I think the design is a bit silly. Some many moving parts to break down...
The arty cruiser is considering the fact that the BDs bad at point targets. Probably will have no problem hitting titians and stations though...
To be honest my plans for their role are under review because for some reason I thought they were bigger than 500 meters. But capitalship or heavy cruiser seem the most obvious options to me. Maybe with some special extra properties like the MC40 or the Dreadnaught Heavy Cruiser.
I think they would fit nicely into the anti-structure role. Their crappy targeting computers in SW Lore could account for this.
Meh. I've always loved the Hapan designs. They're easily one of the most unique Expanded Universe designs in the world.
Well New Republic is the only faction they can belong to unless this is a foreshadowing of advancing Interregnum lore?:)
I believe I saw something about them getting chummy with the Advent, but I may have misinterpreted.

I mainly love this mod since is one the few mods where one faction cant outdo the rest in any tactic and also the ai are balanced and dont seem to pull **** tons of magical resources out there ***
