Named for the fearsome, beast-like warrior of Klingon mythology who drags the souls of the dishonoured into a lair of eternal shame and despair, the Fek'lhr (pronounced 'Fek-Lar') is one of the deadliest warships in the Klingon Empire, and is rightly feared by the Empire's enemies. At first appearing small and unassuming, the Fek'lhr hides many secrets. Though its conventional firepower may seem modest (by Klingon standards), the Fek'lhr carries some of the most potent and exotic weaponry ever devised by Klingon science.
While not actively disrespected, scientists who tinker in labs are rarely given the reverence they deserve in Klingon society. When the hull of an enemy ship is torn apart before one's very eyes at the hands of a new weapon, however, it is difficult for even the most ignorant warrior to not appreciate the expertise behind the Fek'lhr's abilities.
Crewed by some of the cleverest and most fervent warriors in the fleet, the Fek'lhr is a Klingon tactician's dream. Equipped to be a devastating force in any battle, the Fek'lhr ensures that the Klingon fleet always fights on its own terms. Klingon guile will send the Empire's enemies screaming like cowards to whatever afterlife awaits them.
I Loved this ship in Bridge Commander Kobayashi Maru.
It was also seen in Armada I and II and if I remember correctly also in Legacy and Starfleet Command III. I like the design and wished it were canon and had an appearance in one of the series or movies. ;)
