StalkerSoup update 1.10019 has just been posted. It's a 202.45Mb download, available via the game's autoupdater (or in manual mode)

MAIN CHANGES

COMMON:
Fixed shaders so that DX11 and SMAP configurations are global

I dunno if this is the correct place to post errors / bugs, but anyways I have problem with some NPC missing:

1. Smartass didn't spawn / missing, the pointer only shows hes at bar but nowhere to be found. No way to locate him it seems other than going Strelok The Explorer so far. Mission: Kill The Traitor, from Baldy

2. Bandits at Garbage camp on the road transition to Agroprom are not re-spawning(?) Well my bad I barraged them as soon I see them before taking Voronin's quest. Mission: Voronin's mission, I can't finish it..

3. Mercenary named Ash or Gray or Ash Gray(?). As the PDA shows, He's supposed to be on Wild Territory near the road transitioning to Yantar, but nowhere to be found. Mission: Find The Merc Who Knows About The Science Team.

*I have made it quite far in game (reached and finished 90% of Army Warehouse level & quests). Dunno if I "triggered" something that causes those problems..those quests above sticks around my PDA unable to be finished so far :(

*Random mention: Why some NPC chases me and smacks me in the face when I grabbed items near them? Items like Bread / Canned Food / Sausage / Vodka / Energy Drink.

I was once grabbing my vodka stash for some armor in the bar, it's my stash box, it's my vodka, but heck 4 guys run on me and beat the living Strelok out of Marked One *not a problem at all but is it normal? XD

Wish the more up-to-date version was on Google Drive... No limit of speed, no limit or download... NADA! Instead it's still on Mega, with a 1.5gb download limit... Let me take days to download 1 mods...

Really, I don't get it why not upload to somewhere that is Free and is in every way, shape or form better than you're currently using?

Thank heavens for the Moddb one, may be older but at least it downloads at the SAME speed as Google Drive. (As much as my internet can handle)

EDIT: Also, where did the Enviroment Plugins went? I was gonna give Winder Land a try for the first time but there are none. :p
And I can't remember, If I start from 0, will I be able to start Collector and move on the levels or will have to start from Collector?

Unfortunately, due to the sheer number of downloads this game gets, most hosting companies have refused it - even the paid-for Dropbox Pro

The Mega file is better to use for installation, and downloading one file at a time from them is the best way I've found to get them all without a limit being imposed. The older file here exists only for promotional purposes...

The environmental plugins are no longer compatible with the latest advances in the game's engine

If you start from Level 0 you'll get the best out of the game. When you move on to Collector, not only will the storyline continue from Level 0, but you'll have all the gear you've earned from Level 0 ;-)

I see a lot of promise with this mod, but there are so many problems with it that makes it hard for me to enjoy it, and I haven't even progressed that far in the game yet.

The economy in this game is broken. You can make ungodly amounts of money so easily with the 150 kilogram carrying capacity (which no human being should be able to carry), allowing you to horde hundreds of guns, most of which are in a generously good condition. There is also the issue of every soldier carrying around so many VOG-25 grenades. Like 10-30 at a time on each person. That's a lot of expensive grenades you can sell to people. The Exoskeleton for some reason only costs 24,000 rubbles. Did you forgot to add another zero or something? For you foreigners out there, that is 350 dollars (US), 300 euros (EU), or 275 pounds (UK). What a steal! This Exoskeleton was available at Agroprom by the way, so I got myself an exoskeleton for cheap at like the beginning of the game. I haven't even met the barkeep yet. In the original SoC, the Exoskeleton costed 200,000 rubles, and could normally only be acquired after the Brainscorcher was disabled.

A lot of items are unbalanced and inconsistent. Shotguns for some reason seem very effective against armour and long range combat, contrary to what they should be in real life. There are lots of ammo types for guns, but there are some guns that cannot seem to use them when they logically should. For example, the Special PM cannot use 9x18 P+, but it can use 9x18 FMJ. These bullets have the same exact dimensions, so why can't it use 9x18 P+? There are guns that have no recoil, like the Mosin-Nagant Obrez. Some armours give misleading information, like the Bandit Jacket giving two different stat readings when equipped and unequipped. When wearing gasmasks, you breath faster when injured. However, when healed, the player character will continue to breath fast as if having a panic attack. It only resets when the armour is taken off and put back on.

The mutants are a non-threat in this mod, even on Marked One difficulty. 2 shots from a BM16 pretty much wipes the floor with pseudogiants and chimeras. Dogs can't seem to hit moving targets at all. All mutants deal very little damage and have very little health. I have not once been killed by a mutant in this game. I have been killed by bullets many times though. Guns are very powerful in comparison to claws and teeth.

In terms of performance, stability, and bugs... This mod crashes a lot! It can randomly crash when trading with people. It can randomly crash when quickloading. There is this quest that I cannot complete, because it requires me to repair a Custom MP5, but any attempt to repair it results in the game crashing. Talking to Arnie always crashes the game, so there is no way to do arenas. When I finished with Lab X-18, upon exiting the lab, the game crashes with an error message reading: "[error][ 259] : No more data is available." I am now unable to progress further in the game, because this happens no matter how many times I reload a save.

Difficulty levels for everything can be changed within either in-game menus, or in the user-adjustable 'Modders Script' which comes with the game, making every player's setup different

Weapon ballistics are ongoing, after TecnoBacon (the game's author, and who has licensing rights to the game engine) discovered a bug that caused every mod after 'Shadow of Chernobyl' to have inaccurate ballistics and needing compensation for every weapon. Having fixed this bug, each weapon is now being tweaked to make it more like the original than at any time in the history of the game

The game is massive, so whenever a new upgrade comes out (usually every month or so) new issues are raised, and resolved in the next upgrade. The main problem is the 32 bit architecture, which is why a new 64 bit engine is being created for the game

But StalkerSoup will never be 'perfect', because it keeps on growing. That's the beauty of it :-)

No mod will ever be perfect, but I want them to be as good as they can be, hence why I make lengthy comments pointing out as many issues as I can come up with.

Highly unstable and unfinished, but this is one of those mods in which it doesn't really matter. You have to keep trying every new version because one simply cannot resist.
