LES MISERABLE

Welcome, this is rebalance "Les Miserable" modification for Misery 2.1
It was made for good folks in STALKER General with love of course.
Aim for this rebalance is to tweak game to the point where it's less annoying but more enjoyable and rewarding for players efforts.
Contains some stuff from Unfucker/AnonTim tweaks for Misery 2.0.2
Rebalance doesn't touch some aspects of the Misery to keep mod's atmosphere.
Hardcore AI Aim is turned on by default.

VERSION 1.0.6 - you don't need Kelse version.

INSTALATION
1. Go to class folder, chose your class.
2. Copy gamedata folder from Class folder to your CoP main folder, override everything.
3. From main Les Miserable folder copy gamedata and put in CoP directory, override everything.
4. Enjoy


VERSION 1.0

-reduced containers weight by 20%
-reduced containers price by 20%
-reduced attachments price by 20%
-increased artifact price by 10%-20% more valuable artifacts have increased price significantly
-reduced artifacts weight by 20%
-reduced containers with artifacts weight, might change that later to match artifacts weight
-NPCs/Mobs/Actor are using Unfucker and Tim's tweaks.
-AI is less pin-point accurate
-reduced AI's vision at night
-reduced explosives price and weight
-reduced most prices of food
-faction badges sells for more
-reduced helmet prices
-Protective Helmet now is 5KG instead of 10KG, YAY
-increased health restoration via medkits
-reduced price of medical items by little
-increased prices of some mutant parts by little, mutant parts from chimera/pseudogiant/controller prices increased significantly
-reduced armour prices and weight by little
-reduced percent of item condition need to repair
-best toolkits min condition for repair is 10%
-reduced price of toolkits
-removed annoying poltergeist sound
-reduced repair price, repair is still pricey
-more ammo on dead bodies
-chance of getting medkits and bandages from bodies increased by 20%
-increased weapon condition on dead bodies by few percents.
-more frequent blowouts(24H)
-Psi-Storm(36H) and Fallout(26H) works now.
-NPCs should die after Blowout
-Psi-Storm should turns NPCs in to zombie if they are not sheltered.
-reduced gun prices
-reduced chance of weapon jamming
-ecologist suits will no more reduce stamina
-+5KG for every character.
-some small actor changes
-instant looting, window needs fixing, maybe?
-bloodsuckers breath sound restored
-changed trader prices
-changed artifact stats

-beard won't buy or sell weapons
-sell condition for weapons is set to 75%

Restored mutant looting animation, proper window and picture. Player is no more static while looting. Tell me if I should remove the animation or not.

NOTE: Optional files have Preacher's radio set up, either with Misery music or without.

NOTE: Les Miserable is using 300 switch distance.
If you are wondering why there are no NPCs or mobs, becuse of higher switch distances than 300, everything dies before you can even reach them.

Why it's bigger? Settings. Now I realised how class system works actually and for your convenience.

You don't have to use this if you prefere Misery 2.1 as it is.

Here is the quick fix for issue.

A lot of these tweaks are pretty great. I'm working on a larger addon for Misery, would you mind if I included some of these? Full credit, of course.

I have been trying to get stalkers to turn into zombies in misery after blowouts and psistorsm for the past mont hnow, but i never seem to find any stalkers zombified or even dead on the ground anywhere after blowouts. I was pretty dissapoint. I hope your mod will change thatю

Perhaps as optional files ?

1. Could you increase the number of NPC's roaming Zaton/Pripyat? I was saddened about that recent change in MISERY 2.1
2. Do zombies drop some more proper loot in this version, or only NPC's included ?
3. Maybe increase Civilian zombie spawns around the swamps of ZATON ? Most of the swamplands seem deserted as NPC's dont use those waypoints to travel to their desinations
4. Can you make the "prone" camera hack removable as an optional download ? It is Zero help, and i actually die alot more because of the terible crouching as a sniper. By camera hack i mean that it only seems that i am lowering my head so the enemy could not see me, yet they can see my head and i cannot see them when i am using "prone" stance. I hope i was clear with this, can't explain any better.

As for optional files?
Spawns? I might work on merging orginal MSO rather than working on Misery's 2.1 MSO.
Also remember the note, if people have higher switch_distance than 300 usually that means NPCs and mutants kille eachother before you can even reach them.
Zombiez? I did not touched the amount of items dropped on dead bodies except ammo.
Blowouts should kill NPCs now and Psy-Storm should turn them to zombiez.
I will include camera fix now and upload it as optional file in next release.
I added this prone stance but it's engine that sucks so even when you camera is lover you are still positioned in low crouch and that is why you get hit anyway.
I added prone stance to everyone, should add that to readme and optional file.

Sadly the camera fix doesnt seem to work i dropped the sniper class into the sniper folder but he still ducks as if he is laying on the ground

Btw, if i want the blowouts or psistorms more frequent do i merely need to change atmosfear_parameters.ltx ?

And in blowouts there is set that stalkers explode, if i would write there instead of explode "killorturn" would that work ?

About frequency of blowouts, everything is described and yes, only atmosfear_parameters.ltx needs changed. Set it to whatever you like.

Sorry to bother you again, but i checked the low crouch and its still set as default 2.1 misery. What i did to check it was enter swampy water and low crouched, his head was under the water. If it were default low crouch he would be above the water.

Or maybe its just not working for me, but i replaced the class folder in the misery gamedata with your file. No big deal though, i am enjoying misery at the moment, already got my first psistorm :)

Also Beard is paying ALOT more money for damaged weapons than they cost themselves. For example hes willing to pay about 20 k for FN PAra sniper rifle which has about 50 percent condition...

Also I bought Modern Beretta from Owl for about 6k then beard is willing to pay about 9k for it. So this is very exploitable. I am using your optional 0 condition buying.

Also, traders do not buy scopes. I tried to sell them PSO scopes but neither beard nor Owl buy them. Same coudl be with silencers, cant remember atm, have to go to sleep cuz i got work in 6 hours.

Other than that and the prone stance which wasnt changed, everything works flawlesly.

I installed only atmosfear file, as i wanted to see how psi storms and fallour work and look, but it seems they don't work. Moreover i don't have blowouts anymore. Is it suppossed to work only when your start a new game, or it can work on current unmodded game?

Edit: ok had to wait 3 days, and it's working.

It's you! There is a link for your news_manager.script fix, thanks to Alun.
As for the blowouts. If you want to set your own blowouts, their frequency and turn of psi/fallouts go to
gamedata/configs/atmosfear_parameters.ltx
Everything is described there, should be easy for you. But if you have a problem contact me and I will see what I can do.

Should work on same save but you gotta wait.

I applied atmosfear config changes, enabling fallouts and psi storms, but they are not present in the game!. No matter what number i set for the frequency, is it 6 or 90, those additional effects aren't working. Blowouts work fine, but the rest isn't. What to do?

What about opt_ line? Did you changed it to 1 or psi and fallout?
They should happend, test with new game.

Of course i changed the parameter to 1. Even on new game i don't have those effects. No fallout, no psi storms, just the blowouts. I don't get any notifications about fallouts or psi storms, nor any visual effects. They are just non existant.

When I started working on Pripyat Reborn from the old beta files of Misery 2.0 I had, I found that there was an error in the atmosphere_default_parameters.ltx. Just use the one that comes with AF 3 and it should fix some stuff. Not sure if anyone corrected this.

I've seen the psi storms... haven't seen the fallouts though, what do the they look like? what are they?
also, is there any way of getting the mutant looting animation back?

Fallout is radoactive rain mostly.
As for the looting animation, I don't know why you want that but not mine business. I will include optional file for it in next release. Probably tomorrow or today.
