Looks great and the addition of detailed installation information is greatly appreciated. One question: Is it compatible with this? Moddb.com

Thanks.

Open Majestic Weatherfx - Main\appdata and move those ltx files to your actual Anomaly\appdata and try again, if that doesnt work just manually paste the commands from ltx files in the console

It's working great though but my fps dropped 40s from 120s, Can I get that shiny weapon effect only? So I can play the game without constant stutters?

Do you have grass shadows enabled? that's pretty much the only setting that really affects fps from what i remember

2 thing that tanks perfomance: high setting for SSAO(like instant -100 fps on 3080) and grass settings to lesser extent. Set SSAO to medium and it should fix most of issues

Firts of all, tyvm for this wonderful mod. Is pretty well done. Amazing visuals. But for some reason when I activate the patch for SO3, the game does not start. What happen if I do not activate this patch? Loving the weathers & visuals. I use Gamma modpack. Your is at the end of the modpack... Overwriting gamma weathers etc.

The patch is just to prevent crashes since SO3 has its own lightning library, does it crash without the patch too?

Not at all... so far, so good my friend. 4 hours with your mod with no problems without patch for SO3 + weaker AO + Shadow corner addon. Do you use dynamic tonemap extender? If so, can you share your tweaks too? And again. Impressive visuals.

Hm, for some reason presets and shader console commands from Enhanced Shaders not working and brightness slider is functioning like in vanilla. Am i doing something incorrectly?
Im not installed optional files from Enhanced Shaders for shader param control since it`s not in guide

You mean cfg_load grading_? I think you need sharam params simple installed for that to work, I didn't include it on the mod list as a lot of people seem to have issues with it.

Yes, i noticed that majestic.ltx contains 2 commands for grading presets but they are not loading and im curios if it`s intentional or i installed something wrong

Also, some skyboxes shows color banding with darker morning weather presets.
Sorry if im sound too critical. Im actively seeking for good weather mod for anomaly and yours is best for now, specifically in night light department.

Either use MrDemonized's upscaled sky textures or enable quint_deband with these settings:

I found small issue with in-engine screenshots(like for save file preview) but not fully sure if it`s actually caused by this mod - they dont work with dxgi.dll provided in archive, but it can be fixed with different version of same dll, like from reshade 4.9.1. playing with it for 20+ hours and didnt noticed any visual differences yet but not sure.

Also, is it me or vanilla anomaly nights are just too dark because of "sun" and sky color settings at 0 in most weather presets?

Yea I noticed that too after I updated reshade to 5.2.2, setting the screenshot format to jpg seemed to fix it though.
About the vanilla nights being too dark yea I guess they did it to make the game harder.

Its more unimmersive for me than harder honestly. Im living in the same region as ingame one and nights-to-early mornings are far more brighter in reality. Also, looking at configs i feel like they just forgot to tweak it or laziness just hit them hard.
Thats why i think your weather mod is superior - nights are bright enough and pretty

Just tried it, its actually super pretty. Like, wow. And pretty without also running into issues i have with my own reshades or other graphics setups where blacks or nighttimes will get ruined or its really hard to see. It's like super pretty and playable. Kudos. I imagine i may be sticking with this for a while, i feel foolish now with how long i've spent tweaking my own graphics setup with expedition and my own reshade lol. Thank you nonetheless

edit: Just a note on further playing, i've noticed that at night, in the night sky there can be strange blue dots/patches. It's not super obnxious, but it is a little distracting. I don't know if its just me or if anyone else has had it, thought i'd let you know though :)
I also wish it didnt tank my framerate so much :(

edit-2: So it seems that MOST of the framerate hit actually occurs due to the grass density being so high, i put it down to roughly where i had it before using this mod, and the performance is mostly okay now, its definately worse than without this mod, but its only like 5-10fps hit now instead of being lucky to hit anywhere close to 50FPS before changing the grass density. Hopefully this may help someone else. I left grass shadows on though, cus they look cool :D

Hi there and ty for your mod :) it seems quite complete. I have 2 questions :
1 is there any noticeable performance impact (probably not more than any other weather/reshade mod but who knows), and
2 will the ingame settings for "dark nights", "brighter nights", etc, still have any effect when using your mod ? (I like it when it's pitch black night)
Peace

Hi zoust, for me its a 10 fps difference with the performance grass cfg.
About the darker nights setting, that and the moon phases thing never worked for me even in vanilla so idk

All up and running almost perfectly just one bug I seem to have the ssr effect from reshade permanently applied to hands and character models only going away whilst under a static light

That's weird because none of my reshade presets have ssr enabled and I also disabled weapon ssr from screenspace shaders, can you send a screenshot of the issue

Reply Good karma+1 vote
Kingdaddybiff

Fixed the issue. It seemed to be a problem with SSAO having it on anything other than SSDO causes overly shiny character models, is an issue with the screen space shaders mod idk if it's well known or not but that fixed it for me

Thanks for the continued update. The chromatic aberration is barely visible now with the Rally preset, was making my eyes fuzzy on the inventory screen. Best reshade/weather mod out here.
